Popped in here on Australia Day. My daughter had schnitzel and chips and my wife had teriyaki chicken with rice and I had slow cooked ribs. The kosher meal was excellent and chef was attentive.
We love Passionate! If you ever wanted to meet a more ‘passionate’ and obsessive Chef you won’t find one. With a broad menu David is always doing something new and currently you will find his sublime handmade chocolates. His portions are generous despite the additional costs that being a Kosher business brings.
If you eat and hang out the back after service David is relaxed, convivial and you might even get a reading of his poetry.
We popped in the other night for a truly amazing dessert. Layered passionfruit mousse, ganache, strawberry ‘soup’ and strawberry sorbet. In heaven..
David is a standout from the kosher joints in Melbourne as his food is generous, the menu broad and yummy and the quality and taste stands above everything else.

Got take away twice. Both times food was okay. Definitely does not justify the high prices. Also, food is sold by weight, so once you get your order, you will surprised to find out what normally costs $14 somewhere turns out to be $28. Should just have a set lunch box price rather than create billshock.
Disappointed that the deli could not provide our order in full. On being told no beef was available, we agreed on a chicken option with chocolates thrown in as a token of apology. The order arrived at our door without the promised chocolate and the food was substandard. Would not order from Passionate again.
