Eclectic / rustic decor and a nice cup of coffee (and a slice ) Doubles as the entry to the Gardens and mansion so theres considerable through (foot) traffic. Phoebe made me a great coffee though 🙂
This small cafe offers a limited range of drinks and sandwiches and the usual basics. We had Devonshire tea and the scones were nice & fresh along with the cream but the jam was more like a jelly which wasn’t as nice as jam. The scones were served up in a cardboard box which looked a bit ordinary. The tea was ok. The decor was a bit run down but the gardens are lovely.
This cafe looks quirky and charming, but the food is very ordinary. The pies come to the table in their plastic bags and the sandwiches arrive in cardboard and plastic – like something you would buy at a service station. Also, bread was not fresh. Very disappointing. Staff were lovely, though, and very obliging.
