Food was average. Service was bad! It’s almost as though the staff don’t want you there because you’re not Jewish?
I got a bad vibe within a few minutes of being in there (should have left!), but it was pissing down rain outside and I had a pram (that in itself was disappointing – watching 4 staff stare but refuse to assist in getting a pram+child up the step while holding a heavy door open and trying to lift and pull a pram inside).
Bagel was just like any I could purchase at Coles.
$30 spend for two people… not worth it at all! Will not recommend this place at all.
Walked over to Aviv for dessert and staff were so friendly and accomodating.
After being directed here for a coffee by the lovely lady at Olia, we came not just for the intention of having coffee but also cakes and bagels. How can you not try the things that they are named after? That would be like going to KFC and eating salad. Oh, you mean people do that? Ok then, moving on. The verdict? Our skinny latte was so-so, definitely can’t rival the other cafes in the vicinity. Now on to the baked goods. Unfortunately the bagel was the weakest of the bunch. Our cinnamon bagel was tough, ironman tough. And it came on a plate with a suspicious amount of water droplets on it. But our disappointment was soften from further blow by the ricotta danish and the assorted cookies. Both very well made and tasted heavenly. Being a Cookie Monster, I went for one each of all the cookies and can say that my waist did not blame me for it. The two young girls serving us where very approachable and laid back; may seem disinterested but that’s just how the rebellious youths of today are.
Hey Melanie, Invisibility must be contagious, awful service! Waited and waited for anyone to serve me. Decided to go Olia instead!
Friendly staff. Will return.
We happened to walk into this place by chance. Quaint little cafe. The coffee and chai latte were really good. We tried the Israeli patty.. Don’t remember what it’s called but the name sounds like burrito…. Really yummy. Do try the mushroom one. Totally worth it. The meringue was nice too.
Overall a thumbs up 🙂
I’m a regular here…often come with my husband or to catch up with a girlfriend. I appreciate that Savion sells baked goods similar to Israeli bakeries- love the shakshuka! Mushroom omelette
Their salads and fresh and colorful
Soups full of fresh herbs and flavour
I do find some items abit overpriced
Particularly the cakes – very expensive
But for lunch or a quick brekkiei love it
Friendly staff
Under new management now but it’s a great cafe
Invisible me. I have twice attempted to purchase a humble bagel or croissant here.
Alas, when only mildly busy, I appeared to be invisible.
I’ll stick with Aviv down the road.
