Been twice, excellent both times! Good lunch specials and just had beef teriyaki bento box, I highly recommend this place. Very well priced, excellent food, great service in a nice relaxing informal atmosphere

Gyoza shell was hard and the filling tasted terrible
Salmon was nicely done but sat on a bed of rice.
Katsu chicken (they were out of beef on Friday night) was dry – had one potato and 1/4 of a carrot with barely no sauce and again a whole heap of rice.
Worst dinner we’ve had in a long time!
Fresh, tasty and great value for money. Any of the don bowls (I.e. With teriyaki beef or chicken Katsu are delicious and you get a big serving size for a good price. My go-to Japanese in the elsternwick area.
Had a delivery from here tonight. Very friendly and obliging service. The food was fresh and tasty. The tempura veggies were still crispy even though they were delivered . I thought they may have been soggy by the time they came but they weren’t. The dipping sauce was very yummy too. The chicken dish was also very fresh and had great flavour. The rice had egg and other tasty morsels in it. Will definitely use the delivery service again.
Serving size is generous. Like that the fish and veg portion are larger than the rice on a bento set. Food are cook to order, hence a bit of waiting time but the food are out fresh and hot
Delicious bento, from our favourite Japanese cafe. We drive from the other side of the city to come here, and have been coming back for years. Good price. Good service. Good food!
Good place to have a quick eat. I have been coming here for a couple of years now and it has always makes good, consistant meals. The sizes of the dishes are good and they taste nice too. Compared to a lot of the other Japanese places around here it’s very good value for money. Not as good as Tataki up the road but half the price and a less formal atmosphere. Way better than Momoko too. Never had take away here so can’t comment on that. It’s my go-to place for an easy, local Japanese dinner. Will continue to eat here
