Fantastic little cafe. They’ve got these quaint seats and adorable paintings on the walls. The staff have lovely smiles as well. Decor, friendliness and atmosphere is on point.
We ordered the seafood pasta and scrambled salmon. Tasted absolutely delicious and perfect for such a charming venue.
Don’t believe the haters, this is a wonderful little community cafe you should definitely support.
Great coffee! They always get the balance just right, and they are great for breakfast. I always have breakfast there, love the eggs benedict. Good value and service is fast.
Staff is friendly, always very happy to accommodate my particular taste buds. Seems to be result of new owners.
Definitely recommend trying this place.
Came here for breakfast this Sunday after avoiding it for a few months. First thing I’ve noticed is the change of menu (new owners I think). The menu is a lot more streamlined and simple instead of been unnecessarily long. Coffee was on point and the food tasted great and was well presented. I would definitely recommend people to check this place out.
I ordered the smashed avocado, rocket and feta. It was nice, very strong in flavour and suggest you get the poached egg with it to tone it down. So I don’t understand why the poached egg is an extra.
Also as a note the menu really should say rocket salad with avocado and goats cheese. I say this due to the sheer quantity of rocket. I had to put some to the side to find the avocado. But it was otherwise a nice dish. If only I didn’t have to order it twice then clarify a further two times as what it was I was actually ordering. A language barrier seemed to be the issue, which was a shame as they were trying.
Now to my husbands french toast. Made from challah, first big tick. But the menu promised berries and banana. No banana, it must have gone on holiday. The mascarpone was bitter, and tasted off, when we inquired about it the waitress insisted the label says it wasn’t overdue until next year??? Oh dear
In general food was ok, but there were some major issues that have brought the rating down:
1. French toast with berries and banana slices with lime mascarpone: no banana on it. Not a huge amount of berries either.
2. Something definitely wrong with the Mascarpone on this dish too – tasted bitter/sour and not sweet in the slightest – I told them it was likely off, but they went into denial telling me the useby date was in the future and asked me if I wanted butter instead (??)
3. The smashed avocado on toast had more rocket than avocado, although the flavours weren’t too bad
4. They forgot the second smashed avocado and we had to correct our order twice more before my wife got served.
5. Almost $60 for that and 3 coffees. Overpriced.
Definitely not the most fancy of places but the staff are very friendly, the food is always nice and the prices are great!!
Excellent soups. Friendly service .
