My score 3.5 stars. J & I have been here quite a few times at lunchtime. A strange place in that it is actually about yum cha (small plates), rather than large serves of dumplings – but the premises are quite small (no trolleys & crowds involved)! Service can be a bit slow/laid back & it’s not the cheapest for what it is, but if you’re after a Chinese morsel fix, what alternatives are there in the area? Our favourites are: Gourmet mushroom mix/Fried deluxe dumpling/Steamed chive dumplings. BTW > We had a brush with fame once when Wendy Stapleton was at the table next to us (memories of Wendy & the Rockets concerts when Melbourne was the undisputed live music capital of the world). If you are a local/don’t want a longish drive/have yum cha cravings/deep pockets/time on your hands – this is the place for you…
