Very grand place the old Grandview Hotel. Has an old world charm about it, that sadly (apart from here) is hard to find, that’s why this place is a gem. Food is your standard pub food, pamas, steaks, chips.
Also has a selection of meals to cater for all. Service is good, and plenty of drink selections. Beer cold and goes done well. This hotel is famous for its comedy nights….you can see some great Aussie acts here. One of the few pubs without the slot machines – all the more reasons to come down and support this historic place. By the way food, old school ambience and drinks will bring you back.

Feb/March 2018: The only reason I’m giving this 1 star is because the bar staff were friendly. The streak was dry, flavourless, tough, grey, over done and generally like something a 1970s school dinner would look like. It had fat on it so it would’ve been possible to cook in a way to allow flavour, but the cook decided to avoid that at all costs. I left the food, and went somewhere else – too shocked at the quality to stop and say something.

It was a pub. And once upon a time she would have been a beautiful grand lady. If she was fully restored then perhaps the prices being charged would have been justified, but for what it was, I thought it was overpriced. I had a veal Parma. It was ok, but nothing special.
