Went here on a Monday night and it was quiet. Not sure if that was a sign or just a case of a rainy Monday. We were promptly seated at a table, water and menu provided. We ordered two curries (Red and Massaman), roti with peanut dipping sauce, jasmine rice and calamari salad.Service was 10/10 (but we were the only people in the restaurant)Food 5/10. Sadly I can only rate this a 5 because half the food was good, the other not so good. The red curry was flavoursome and had a good amount of chicken and veg. The massaman however was tasteless and had none of flavour I love in a massaman. When trying a new Thai restaurant I always go with a massaman as my ‘yard stick’ and this one was bland. No zing from pineapple and no deep peanut and warm flavour. It was also very watery. We ended up scooping the vegetables from the massaman and putting it into the red curry for takeaway. The jasmine rice that accompanied the curry was very sticky and was too glue like for me. The roti and peanut dipping sauce was great though. The calamari salad was 50/50. The calamari itself was well cooked but it was drowned in so much fish sauce that we couldn’t eat the greens (lettuce) that the calamari was sitting on top. So it wasn’t really a salad but a pile of over sauced calamari. The sauce too I suspect was likely to be a bottled as it had that really sweet and sticky taste. Overall I wouldn’t be returning as there is much better Thai and same or prices elsewhere. We had a 20% off winter special but even then it was $26 a head for overall average food.
