Friendly and accommodating staff, even at 6am! Great venue and yummy food. The brekky board I had was fairly simple but the yoghurt was delish! So light and airy.
Would definitely recommend for a great start to the day.
Came across this place when searching for somewhere that was open early…thanks guys for being one of the only cafes in the area serving brekkie from 6am!
I wasn’t expecting much so I guess my expectations were more than exceeded. Staff were super helpful, food was full of flavour and presented nicely and coffee was of the high standard we’ve come to expect in Melbourne.
The only criticism would be a refresh to the interiors and branding – the outdated look doesn’t do justice to the food, coffee and service.
We visited here while we had a break. Menu is breakfast only. The shakes seem to been dialed down a little but they are still great! The chilli scramble was the winner. Loved how they added the extra mushrooms through the dish and not on the side.
This is my favourite cafe in the area, hands down. I love the rustic interior, it makes the surrounds feel comfortable and warm. Their coffee is always amazing, both soy and normal milk and their chai is delicious too. I love the variety of their menu and I often have cravings for their choc bowl, my favourite dish. It never disappointments, chocolate and peanut is just the perfect pair. Their acai bowl is really well done too and so reasonably priced compared to some other cafes in the region.
They’ve even refunded me a meal once because there was something wrong with it. I love this place, I hope I can consider myself a regular.
Food was delicious had the waffles with chocolate and berries. While my husband had the scrambled chill eggs. Our coffees came out and were great and food soon followed which was tasty! It really hit the spot with the flavours and how it was presented. The staff were friendly and personable. Will go back there again!
I was interested to dine as a guest of Koffee Bar this morning for their location pits them in direct competition with Lorna a cafe I visited late last year and thoroughly enjoyed. I was intrigued to see how KB stacks up as they were the original on the strip having been there five plus years and have a loyal customer base of locals. Im pleased to say the food was absolutely on par. I had a cacao smoothie bowl which I was utterly delicious and a green with envy juice which was very refreshing. Hubby enjoyed a smashed avo with haloumi and a short black. He was happy to report they did their cafe name justice with a very strong coffee game.
Not sure if its the area but I found the dishes extremely well priced and value for money. They were beautifully presented too. Had I not been trying to be healthy I definitely would have tried one of the monster shakes and banana loaf which were recommended by fellow bloggers but instead I ordered a chai that incidentally never turned up.
Whats really exciting is as of next week they are starting to trial dessert nights a few nights a week which is really cool given Ive had several experiences recently where Ive needed to go out for a sweet treat post dinner to celebrate a birthday or just cos and unfortunately the burbs dont necessarily cater for that late night option. This means locals wont have to trek into the city so they are filling that void nicely, and not only that they are offering Thai style ice cream which is a really cool unique concept that is only available in one other place in Melbourne. Pretty exciting stuff for locals!
Came here as I wanted to try the smoothie bowl.. I was impressed it was a rather large serve that I could not finish, although it was not blended properly. The service was average & coffee the same , although I ordered an almond milk latte so that might have been the issue 🙂 happy to try & give it second chance
