I went here with my Dad, my sister and her partner. We went for breakfast and coffee, well I didn’t have coffee. We sat down inside and there was lots of cow paraphernalia and old fashioned things, my Dad and sister were very entertained while looking around the cafe. The menu was pretty basic. My sister and I ordered the soup of the day which was chicken and vegetable with a side of cheesy toast which was delicious. The soup was very good and had a nice flavour without being too salty, my only complaint was there wasn’t enough chicken in the soup. My Dad and sister’s partner ordered the egg and bacon toasted sandwich which they really liked. I don’t remember whether they enjoyed their coffees. I’d probably come back here for breakfast if I was in the area but not if I’m with more then 5 people.

Rude service and no joy for groups of more than 6. In March 2015 we attended for lunch. The cafe was less than half full. After being ignored by the elderly female behind the counter, we sat down. A few minutes later she came up and asked how many were in our group. There were four of us there and a further four were to join us so we said eight. She said we don’t serve groups of more than 6 and walked away. We thought she was joking. I went to speak with her and found her at the door to the kitchen joking with a cook. Turns out that is their policy and she was just as rude in talking with her as she had been at the table. Disappointing experience. No idea of what the food tastes like but if it would have to be damn good to make up for the sour and rude service that we experienced. I can only hope this was a one-off.
