This little place is super cute and has a goorgeous back yard. Their coffee is great and the food is delicious too. I tried their vegan chicken burger, vegan BLAT and their mango smoothie bowl. All of them were delish but I just wish there was a little more of the mango smoothie bowl, I couldn’t get enough of it! We did have to wait quite a while on the food because they were at full capacity and down one person in the kitchen while we were but this seems like it was a one time incident, and they were very nice and informed us about this as we were ordering. Overall a good experience 🙂 (sponsored/free meal)

My first brunch date since I got back from vacay Mary Miller has been on the top of my list of cafes to visit for ages, ever since I saw their food photos on instagram. The interior is clean and bright, with green plants and cute floral art works on the wall and some Tiffany blue color, created a relaxed environment

With so many delicious choice on the menu, it was so hard to pick a favourite. Finally, both of us go for the burger The VEGAN CHICKEN POP BURGER ($18.5) with sweet potato fries tasted almost indistinguishable from chicken, very well done. BEEF STRIP BURGER ($18.5) , beef was juicy and tender, green salad was fresh and full flavour. Fries was crispy and crunchy. It is one of the best burger I had in a cafe

For drinks, the BERRY & ALMOND SMOOTHIE ($9.5) was a refreshing healthy choice. I would love to visit again soon.

Ordered their pulled pork benedict and fig and berry pancakes! Loved how vibrant the benedict looked with the beetroot hollandaise and their house made potato rosti was so crispy on the outside – how pretty is their playing btw? Their fig and berry pancakes were super fluffy – just how they should be!

I was a little disappointment in the butterfly pea flower latte because all I could taste was steamed milk… not sure whether it was just mine that was like this – maybe they didnt add enough of it to get that earthy flavour.

Service was really helpful and friendly!

On this delightfully sunny Saturday we came to Mary Miller for breakfast, with plenty of outdoor seating options we choose a nice bright spot for our dining today. I loved the high ceilings, and lighting in this corner cafe. It has an airy summer feel about the place and delightful wood grain tables. Amy Winehouse was doing a set when we first arrived and there was definitely that a relaxed vibe about the place.

We started with a couple of delicious coffees served in the awesome huskee cups. I love this concept of turning coffee husk waste into something functional. They not only look stylish they are lovely to hold and drink from.

We chose the zucchini & corn fritters as our savoury brunch item. First thing I notice is the enticing fragrant smell of the fritters as they hit the table, not only stunningly presented, but also delivering a bang in flavour. Everything on this plate worked, the smoked salmon, poached egg, beetroot hollandaise and feta all yum, but the chefs dressing on the rocket is what ties all these flavours together. I loved the combination of yolk, rocket and fritter, a real textural and flavour delight.

For something sweet we opted for the fig & berry pancakes, this dish arrived with the wow factor, an instagrammers delight! The figs brought the sweetness to the tart berry, both pairing perfectly with the layers of vanilla custard in the pancakes. The clever inclusion in this dish though was the pandan crumb, it was a flavour and texture really adding to each mouthful.

We also choose the tropical smoothie, the coconut milk, pineapple, mango, banana with coconut flakes was subtle flavours of summer in a glass. I liked that this wasnt overly sweet.

The residents around here must be happy to be so close to a quality cafe. Thanks so much for inviting us in.

Located just outside off the CBD upper part of Melbourne, this is a delightfully another local gem. The cafe has a nice open decor with lots of open sunlight and a nice spacious courtyard for your perfect food photos and friends gatherings.

    To the anticipated reviews..
. Beet Berry Latte – It has a nice res colour. Has a subtle, but sweet taste. Warm, frothy and milky. Latte lovers and Vegans will be delighted to try this
    .
Blue Butterfly Latte – Another colourful latte, has a hint of sweet potato flavour. Another great choice if you were to have this. I just simply could not resist
    .
Pulled Pork Benedict – On first bite, the display is sensational, pulled pork is quite tender and quite sweet tasting. The red beetroot hollandaise coated sauce on poured over the egg benedict sits on top quite perfectly along with its house made potato rosti. A top hearty dish in my books!
    .
Fig & Berry Pancakes – Now this is one of my most favourite dish! Delightfully colourful with a beautiful presentation. The pancakes are nice and fluffy, has a creamy, buttery and simply sweet in taste. The fruits and figs are are arranged nicely and the overall are coatedwith Vanilla, mascapone, coconut flakes and delicious pancakes topped with a thin layer of red topping and generous serve of french vanilla ice cream. Yum!

: what an honour it was to be greeted by Marie herself, she was lovely, attentive and provided a choice of 3 different seating areas we decided to sit in the garden courtyard and instantly felt at home with tunes playing on Smooth FM, a very relaxing and chill vibe I really loved the design of the cafe from the fairy lights to the watercolour paintings on the wall .
On to the drinks, the beet berry was subtly sweet and a vibrant pink colour, and the blue butterfly felt like a warm hug! The true star of the show, were the amazing pancakes, the Pandan crumble, fresh berries and figs were truly delightful a generous 4 large stacks of fluffy buttery pancakes were perfect and were as sweet as the lovely Marie herself

  • Good Food Good Mood

We were invited to Mary Miller yesterday, which impressed from the outset with its pleasant atmosphere and modern yet relaxed interior. I ordered a watermelon and mint juice which was lovely and refreshing while my husband enjoyed a piccolo.

We chose the chicken smorrbrod having eaten a lot of this on a recent trip to Denmark. It wasnt quite the same from an authenticity perspective but he polished it off nonetheless. I opted for the chocolate French toast which was very visually impressive.

I personally found this to be quite an eggy version of French toast, it was like the traditional basic version of French toast. Perhaps weve been a little spoiled by the plethora of fancy brioche style French toasts that are currently abound on the Melbourne brunch scene because I found this rendition lacking in taste. It certainly made up for it in presentation though. Overall a bit hit and miss for me food wise but certainly a great ambiance
