I dont mind the parky.I like to come hear with friends when we all want to talk and to have a beer, its a great place to do drinking and talking.Brunswick bitter used to be $5 a pint, but now its $6, which is annoying because now my change is uneven, as i used to like only paying notes and not coins.The parmas there are pretty good, i usually share one with a friend because i am small. They are now only $10 which is good.sometimes the bouncers are rude, but the staff are really nice.good place for drinks and food, but mostly drinks.P.S: the page says it has vegan options, but it definitely doesn’t apart from chips
The Parkview has had a change of owners and they have managed in break neck speed to rid themselves of patrons. All the things that used to draw young people in $10 parmas, cheaper beer specials and some happy hours are gone. Staff apart from Brendan, Ashley and Jess are obnoxious and unwelcoming and lack people skills. Most days there might be 6 people in the bar . The pinnacle hotel next door is rubbing their hands together as most of the old customers are in there where they are looked after. Sad
The Parkview is my local. I recently moved to North Fitzroy and wasn’t expecting the surprise I got. It is cheap and cheerful. A good battle cruiser. Great bottle shop really convenient. Does a great pub meal. Round it off with affordable drinks and a great outdoor space. Must be the staff.
Dropped in today for the $5 Pints of Brunswick Bitter (Thanks to Happiest Hour App) Also had 4 Pines Pale Ale for the same price. We will be back
This place is awesome the staff are so friendly & the food is amazing….. To top it all off the cheapest pints in melbourne i would say & the best beer garden going around north of the city!!! Glad to drink, eat & be merry at the Parkview & will always go there & SO SHOULD YOU!!!!
Such an improvement!. It was the case that, once upon a time, the Pinnacle was the place to be and the Parkview was really only good for playing Big Buck Hunter. Times have changed, though! The new management are absolutely lovely, the food is solid pub fare and the drinks are well-priced. Avoid the overpriced hipster nonsense of the Pinnacle, and head across the road to the Parkview. Well worth it.
The spew. This is my local. The post from Madonna Morley isn’t exactly true. She IS part of the new management. The view is my local and I’ve been heading here for at least 3 years. The staff are fantastic and the locals are all brilliant. I’ve had some great food here too. I’d recommend it to anyone who likes a relaxed pub. The new bar manager is a bit rubbish and is condescending of her staff.
