Awesome pub. The food is amazing, and it's cheap. They have good options for vegetarians/gluten etc. Cold beer. What more could you ask for from a pub?…

Looks can be deceiving, the oak looks fairly down trodden from the outside appearance but upon entering you come across a cosy local with great atmosphere. This is a genuine local, staff are great and the meals are good and very reasonable price wise. These types of pubs are becoming scarce now.
Really good pub grub. Love the $10 pie and also sausages make a good meal. Where can you get desserts for $6.50. Comfort food indeed. Wine at reasonable prices and friendly staff. All that a pub should be. Decor very basic but cozy enough. Gave it 4 coz it’s doing what a pub should do, not gastro but homely.
I love this pub!! Fantastic and well priced pub food. Not many pubs like this left in Melbourne now so this is a great find. Fantastic service and the music on Sunday afternoons always great.
The $10 meal is exceptional value. Meals are basic but for $10 you may have to adjust your expectations a little. The pub is in need for a renovation as the carpet smells like beer.
Great food, great service. Eaten here regularly over the last 6 months and the food is good every time. Love the rotating curry flavours, roasts, pizzas and 10 meals at $10. Can’t go wrong!
Staff always friendly and helpful. Great bands on a Sunday afternoon and venue has a cosy, English pub feel
Menu reads well and is very reasonably priced. Ordered the $16 flathead, which was awful and I have stomach pains after. Fish was not fresh, it was overcooked and dry. Luckily the chips and salad were tasty. Nice wine list. My friend ordered the steak, which was cooked uneven and too rare to eat. Even a cheap meal like this would not entice me back, unfortunately.
Remember this. itsays it’s ‘no-frills’. At the time of writing it’s value for money eg: $4-50 for a pot, $16-00 for a large roast, and on Sundays they have live music usually of acts of good reputation. How come pubs with pokies added on can charge $4-70 foir a pot?Friendlyand a warm greeting by to two ladies who seem to be the main staff. Good corner pub for the local community
