I came here Saturday night with a friend for a late night feed.

After 9.30pm they serve pizzas and oh my what delicious pizzas they were. My friend had the pumpkin and i had the truffle bocconcini. I couldn’t finish it but I took the leftovers home.

Spacious venue but feels cosy. Perfect for a date night. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Charming cafe that serves great coffee and food. It includes a small shop. Good breakfast options from the menu and display. Friendly staff. Open early weekdays.

Best salads at $10.50 for a very decent portion, farro is a must have. During summer expect extra fruit which is always nice. Very busy on weekends, maybe that’s why they have another on Smith St! Haven’t eaten in and probably wouldn’t due to how busy it is but if you enjoy the bustle then line up for a table at this one.

When all the cafes in Melbourne are busy playing safe with very uniform menus that are almost identical and usual, Alimentari came as a breath of fresh air with its very unusual and elaborate menu. But, the best thing about Alimentari was the impeccable flavors on plate….bang on.

Ordered Octopus Carpaccio and Barbecue Chicken Salad together with a Rubarb Almond Pie and a chocolate based dessert.Bang on, nothing, and we repeat again, NOTHING was disappointing or could have been better.

Already planning to return for their salads.

I really did want to rave about Alimentari because I was there on a recommendation from a foodie friend whod raves about it.
So a late lunch, they were busy but not full. We were seated in the courtyard out the back.
Said courtyard is ok but oddly furnished so its cramped and frankly it needs a good clean.
I understand grunge and the whole eclectic thing- but dirty is not trendy and the courtyard is plain dirty.
Our server was friendly and helpful in outlining everything theyd run out of that day – encouraging us to be excited about what was left.
The food was fresh and as described on the menu. Lamb was outstanding and the calamari very good too.
We had all day free and wouldve stayed longer and spent more if wed been in a more comfortable environment.

We had our team brunch at alimentari, there was 10 of us and they seated us at their back courtyard. It was an absolutely stunning setting to be in. The sun was shining through the sun roof and enjoyed some fresh air as we had our beautiful brunch catch up.

I ordered the sweet corn fritters which seems to be popular, I thought I wasnt able to finish but it was delicious enough that I kept digging for more. The sauce was sweet with a bit of spice, its called kasundi. Grilled bacon was perfect and the avocados had a bit of sour taste from the mixed feta. I loved the combination. The fritters werent dry nor over cooked like many that Ive tasted. It was a little moist and easier to eat. Corns were still popping as I chew which added good texture to the dish.

Overall, setting was perfect, food was amazing and service was on point. not sure if it was because it was 9am on a weekday… I had the latte (it was average), but will try their chai latte next time. I hear good things about it too.

Ill definitely be back for lunch and Ill test out their service!

We randomly stopped by this cafe when we were just happened strolling around this area. Well, it turned out to be a good choice for us to having our brunch here. We ordered panini and mixed salad (we chose 3 mixtures).
Salad was great, beetroot and freekeh salad were delicious combinations.
The panini was fine and the coffee was ok.
The staff were friendly and quick to serve.
A lot of customers came in and out of this cafe, its always full.
