2 of the 4 rice paper rolls on the already short menu were unavailable when we arrived at midday, and it was not busy. Flavour was dull, as was the dipping sauce, with no chilli sauce in sight. Lattes were weak, and service mediocre, as was the value.
I’ve only ever had the chips from here (it’s all my uni student budget will allow for) and my goodness they are good! I shouldn’t say chips because they’re actually fries but still, yum! Who would have thought a small Vietnamese cafe would be so good at making chips?!
Love to coffee here, and the home made cakes. Really nice cosy place. Very friendly. Great price too. I get tattooed next door. So i come in here on break. Make sure you try the lemongrass chicken in a sandwich or roll. So tasty.
Best pho in the area, great lunch option with really nice decor and friendly customer service. Nice to sit at the window and watch the sights of Gertrude St with delicious chicken pho.
Me and my friend placed an order for pumpkin soup and club sandwich. The club sandwich is $9 and $1 extra for a can drink. Australian Catholic University Students get a discount over here so a $9 meal comes to a $7.50 but i was charged a full $10 because apparently the sandwich became a $7.50 after discount and i had a drink which was for $2.50. I was a bit disappointed because i asked the waitress whether the drink was only for a dollar and she had said a yes! I had to pay the full price! Not that $10 is overpriced but i was just disappointed cause i was given the wrong information! I did question the owner after i paied the full price and she demanded that I should take $1.50 back but like i stated above, money wasn’t the problem! The club sandwich was okayish, but the chips and pumpkin soup was amazing! Only giving a 3 probably because of the bad first experience I faced here!
The prawn rice paper rolls are the best, I come here at least once a week to get them. Only $7.50 for 3, they are good quality, great size and always fresh. Staff are always friendly too
Auntie Mai’s – Club sandwich & fries. Went here today with a friend for lunch. We both had club sandwiches and fries. It was a delicious meal. Great and reasonable meal deal for $9. Was so full!
