Stopped by for lunch on a rainy Melbourne day. No one else in this place, and couldn’t understand why. The food was absolutely delicious and the selection of Argentinian beverages was great. Loved the Empanadas sooo good!!!
I really rate this place – weve been here a couple times since it opened. Really good, flavoursome chicken, hand cut chips and spicy mayo. Also addicted to empanadas.
Casual venue with limited but well designed menu. We started with smoked beef empanadas with chimichurri. These were really tasty and had a good ratio of meat to pastry. Then between 4 we shared a whole chicken with the quinoa, broccoli and kale salad and a large chips. The chicken was juicy and the chips were excellent and crispy.
Good little location with more outdoor seating now which will work as the weather gets better. Not much seating inside and you may find yourself waiting for a seat if hoping to dine in. Pluses: tasty hot chicken and empanadas rock. Lovely staff. Cons: Salads are small (if being used to bulk up the meal); dining room needs better ventilation; prices need to come down a bit. We had 1/4 chicken each and a few empanadas with some salad and it was close to $60. Too much for a last minute dinner (considering the cheap eats around also).
Had lunch on a beautiful Saturday and was able to sit outside. Enjoyed the chicken sandwich and empenadas reminded me of Buenos Aires. High quality tasty South American food. Would go back and recommend for an affordable lunch in Fitzroy!
Chicken was pink and undercooked…. so disappointing and dangerous! There was nothing special about the the place. The empanadas were average.
Food was overpriced and didn’t taste very good compared to other similar places. Charging extra for chimmichura is crazy. Wouldn’t reccomend to others.
