Interesting menu as well as interior dining. A group of four of us came at 9am Sunday when it was quiet but became really busy and huddled off our table by 10am. The waitress interrupted our conversation a couple of times.

Grub Fitzroy was fantastic, perfect for brunch with kids. Its very quirky with lots of interesting things for kids & adults to look at. However I do think the mannequin heads were disturbing.. We ordered 2 dishes, scrambled eggs with avocado and poached eggs with smashed peas. The dishes came out very quickly & tasted amazing. Service was friendly & reasonably priced. Highly recommend this restaurant.

What a beautiful cosy but spacious place. So much light and colors. Super friendly staff. Great for a big group hangout or a date. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the decorations, huge outdoor space and indoor both. The menu was also quite interesting. The sashimi tuna was amazing, we also had the roasted broccoli and the tub for desert all were great. Will definitely go back to play the board games this time too.

Grub Fitzroy is the epitome of Melbourne brunch. With its hidden location, quirky decor, and vintage furniture – it gives you a taste of the hipster culture in Fitzroy.

I came for the Grub Sweet Set, which is a special high tea hosted annually, featuring a few savoury bites from Grub and sweet treats from a different famous Melbourne pastry chef every session.

We started off with some delightful fava bean dip and baba ganoush paired with parsnip crisps while we waited for our savoury course to arrive. Paired along was your choice of Prosecco or Grub Raspberry Spritz. I opted for the spritz which was fruity and refreshing, and the perfect accompaniment with the delicious food.

There were 4 components to the savoury platter – Chorizo Sausage Roll, Beef Tartare, Smoked Fish Pate and Blue Cheese Profiterole. The sausage roll was delicious and the pastry was super flaky and crisp. The beef tartare was very tender and light. The fish pate was my personal favourite, nice texture and a delicious smokey flavour. The only component which I didnt enjoy was the blue cheese profiterole – perhaps its because Im not much of a cheese fan, but I found the cheese too pungent and heavy, and the flavour too overpowering.

Overall, however, we had a delightful experience at the Grub Sweet Set. Hospitality was great, and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Looking forward to Sweet Set next year!

The food experience at Grub is like an adventure in garden and miracles. Sunshine, plants and cute tables makes the outdoor eating space warm and cosy. I was just wondering what kind of food it could offer in Grub. It is really worth going.

The salmon is a combination of tenderness and crisp. Wasabi for salmon is really mild and matches the special cream it offers. Everything is well balanced and forms a wonderful flavor.

The iced chai is strong as well as tasty.

I would like to go another food adventure with Grub. By the way, the staff are really nice and sweet.

I love the wonderful, whacky world of Grub! Their inventive menu is spot on with great variety – do try the ramen! Their unique set up, with retro furnishings and quirky art, transports you to your childhood dreams.
