I think it was just average…..?

Ordered the IB fried chicken burger with polenta chips as a side. Fried chicken was very juicy but overall the burger was too dense due to the heavy dressing. And the burger just tasted one dimensional, like there’s only one type of taste which is boring to eat after a few bites.

Coffee was not as impressive too. The coffee I got was slightly on the burnt taste. But the cafe was packed on Sunday… so probably forgivable? haha

Service was amazing though. The food arrived within 10mins after ordering too. Very impressive.

    It was OK….

Beautiful beautiful interior and nice courtyard. However being told sit wherever you like then sat there for 10 mins with no one acknowledging you is not cool. One of the staff saw us sitting there not being served but decided to wipe the table next to us. And guess what he did after he wiped the table, kept ignoring us. Well done man, I agree you are very fitzroy cool with your man bun and no smile but maybe don’t work in a cafe?

Finally someone came to us after forever long and took our order. The tapioca coffee was weird. I guess they deserve points for being creative but I may not order that again. The omelette I ordered was nice, the butter and toast on the side is such a bonus, but the omelette could use a bit more seasoning. Friend ordered the Brioche and she didnt quite enjoy it.

Price was extremely high like I would call it expensive. Wont rush back with that kinda service.

Seeing as the cafe had such great reviews and the most intriguingmenu, I was curious to try out the meals for myself! Be warned: rush-hour at lunch is super busy (we waited for 15-20 mins so I would recommend booking tables beforehand or arriving early).I ordered the exotic Aai steel cut oats which were soaked in dragonfruit to give it a vibrant pink colour. To be honest, the only item I thoroughly enjoyed in the meal was the compressedcubed watermelon (my mum, however, enjoyed it- but then again she doesn’t usuallylike oats whichmust say something ??) I was really not a fan of the foam (only great for the aesthetics but I believe food should look AND taste good…)

My family, however, all really enjoyed their meals (most likely a result of me not ordering a dish for my liking- but I wanted to experiment!). They enjoyed the bone broth, IB Fried Chicken Burger and Coffe Rubbed Wagyu Burger. Although my portion was quite small, the burger meals were massive! (they were also on the more pricier range if you’re looking to dine for brunch/lunch). My family also thoroughly enjoyed the Coffee Garden (again though, $15 for a really small dessert!)

Would want to try out this cafe again as their Cinnamon Dusted Brioche sounds really appetising! Really wish they catered for vegetarians/vegans/lactose kids 🙁

Had an amazing lunch here today, I ordered the Bone Broth Noodles and my partner had the Porcini Eggs we couldnt fault anything in our meals coffee was really good and strong how we like it. We also couldnt fault the ambience and service.

Im always on the lookout for new brunch places away from the Melbourne cbd. Industry Beans has a warehouse concept that is trending at the moment. My friends and I ordered the fried chicken burger, cinnamon dusted brioche and marinated rare beef. Every dish tasted quite standard and only the marinated rare beef stood out to us. The ambience was aesthetically pleasing~ They also have an outdoor seating area for those brighter sunny days.

I guess the only star can account for the salmon (which is pretty good) and the really good Mocha but I mean how can you go wrong with ice cream, chocolate and milk tbh

Food: We ordered the beetroot and tumeric bagel and the fruit sashimi. Let me just say, DO NOT ORDER THE FRUIT SASHIMI. It sounded so eloquent, interesting and exotic but when it came, it was the most anti-climatic thing. CoMpReSsEd WaTeRmeLoN ended up being just SMALL. CUBED. PIECES OF WATERMELON. Im ?????? If you want something instagrammable then be my guest but I prefer value over looks. The bagel was good at least with the salmon being appetising but mark my words when I say youre better off spending your $19 on something else.

Drinks: Coffee was good but tbh I cant see where you can go wrong with mocha. The presentation was adorable too.

Service: So other than the food, the biggest turn off would have to be the service. Me and my friend walked in and all I did was mutter, Hey, itd be nice to sit outside and this waitress just cuts in and says in a pretty nasty tone, Theres no places outside. . I went out to view and there actually was a place that could be shared but she didnt even bother. Then we tried to order and call for a server but for 10 minutes, we werent served. Fine. Then finally, we found a hair in our food. Yes, a hair. Ill give it to them for compensating us but lord, my friend was SICKENED. And finally, the waiter gave us our bill in the most unpleasant way. Sorry to say but Id say service from anywhere else would feel more hospitable.

Atmosphere: Its aesthetically pleasing but the lighting inside is only cute for food lmao

All in all, I would NOT return. Simply because, for the price youre paying youd expect good service and good food. The coffee is good but its Melbourne, coffee is good almost everywhere. My first and probably last time here.

    Cheers.

**3.5. stars** Great service and friendly staff. The food was visually appealing and the flavours were well balanced (Price was a little high for the portion that was given). We found the coffee to be strong and were not fans of the original IB bubble cup… nothing special flavour-wise to be honest.
