Heard this place changed hands a while back, but hadn’t checked it out for years. Went tonight for dinner and WOW.
Fantastic openers: octopus, taramasalata, the best steak tartare, great potatoes, perfect chips. The menu looks a tad wanky, but it’s legit AF.
The scotch fillet was fantastic at a fantastic price.
Nice cosy rooftop.
If you’re in the neighborhood, and want a fantastic meal in an old-school setting, highly recommended.
It’s not a place for a huge group, but for a group of 2-6, would be ideal. The food was the best I’ve had at the price in that neighborhood for a very long time.
Service was a bit on the salty side, but that’s par. I’ll be back soon and tartare will definitely be ordered.
