This is our local coffee joint. Have had numerous coffees here. What is good ? Friendly decor, happy staff, good coffee and delicious sandwiches. What else you want ?
Btw, inside they have some secret rooms you can happily spend a few hours in.
Found Min Lokal when we wanted to meet up with some people and there was a wait for Addict (which we should have known). Nice little cafe, friendly staff. The coffee and food were okay, but overpriced. We had the vegan bruschetta and the black eye beans and potato. The dishes looked nice, but I find $16 for some bread with tomatoes and avocado quite expensive. The taste of the dishes was a little blunt. Still a very good option though when other cafes have a wait!

Awesome food, great staff and very relaxed atmosphere. Much nicer and friendlier than a lot of other cafes nearby. Coffee is great and they are very accommodating if you’re in a hurry (always happy to take phone orders).
This place has really gone down the pan. Same specials for three weeks and a very strange vibe from the new faces. Seems like this place gets worse and worse, every time it changes hands is a turn for the worse. Finally fed up. It is nice and quiet like the reviews have said but it just doesn’t cut it.
Superb cafe tucked away in Fitzroy!! We headed over to Min Lokal as couldn’t be bothered waiting in the cold for Breakfast Thieves to get us a table. We were delightfully surprised! I ordered a chai latte with haloumi on grilled veggies and couscous. The chai was very well done!! Had the right amount of milk to tea leaves with my own selection of additional honey. The haloumi was also great! The veggies were grilled to perfection and the flavours of the mix of veggies, cheese, cream, nuts, couscous and pomegranate were so good!! My friends had the beans with poached egg and corn fritters. We were all stuffed by the end it was great!! The staff were lovely and the desserts looked great! Overall had a delightful lunch that I would recommend to anyone!!!
Great cafe! The coffee was very well made and my friends who had chai’s loved theirs too. I had the spiced fritters with cured salmon which I enjoyed a lot! The sesame seed chutney that came with it was delicious! Nice, simple decor that was very tasteful. Overall a great experience!
