We were excited to visit this great restaurant which has rave reviews! We were invited by the owner for the Birthday celebration which had a set menu. When we got there, it was a little unorganised. They didnt realise we had been booked so they sat us at the table and left us sitting there for 20 minutes (there was one other table eating). Eventually I got up and asked them if I ordered up here and they let me know they were waiting on the manager to tell them how to serve us (we had been invited to visit through IG). Eventually about 30-40 mins later we got our first course of pani puri, another dish (escaped my mind) which were pleasant. I enjoyed my lychee spritz! We had the keema pav (popular Indian street food) and Aloo Tiki. Very nice, but nothing special. Meen Moli was the standout dish! This was very yummy and filling! Dessert was a semolina cake. Overall, the menu wasnt amazing but it was a nice experience. Id like to go back and try their normal menu as Ive heard this is really delicious! So I would recommend people try this venue.

We had a party of 7 and there were no complaints: friendly service, food was great (we loved the chicken tikka, gobi 65, onion bhaji and the pillowy naan) with plenty of options for our vegan friend, and all at a very reasonable price point. Can’t ask for more!

    Will come back for:
    + Bhel Puri
    + Garlic Naan
    + Chicken Tikka
    + Tandoori Mushroom
    + Slow Cooked Goat Curry

I really love the Indian street food that this place serves. The Bhel Puri was the perfect entree; light, sour, fresh, crunchy and tangy. Great to get the juices going in the month. The chicken tikka was perfectly cooked, succulent and the flavours bright. And the tandoori mushroom was spicy, a flavour explosion with a hint of sour that is lovely. The slow cooked goat curry was super tender and falls off the bone, and the garlic naan a perfect vehicle to soak in the curry. The chicken biryani had a generous portions of chicken in it, and the rice super fragrant. Everything was served temperature hot, and flavours all dance on the tongue. I thought the desserts (kulfi and gulab jamun) were a bit too sweet – I personally prefer my desserts not too sweet – but that is just me. Service was friendly and efficient. This is one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Melbourne for sure and we will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed dining at Mukka. The service was lovely with the staff being so friendly and accommodation. The flavours of the curry are amazing and full of flavour.
I think this might be my new favourite Indian restaurant! The only negative, was they forgot one of my meals which was the lamb grill.

  • Little Bit Of Everything

I have been to Mukka some time early last year and the food was on point. We went there on Thursday evening and it was packed with people. The service was excellent and quick. My favourite was the Dosa with Smoky Eggplant and peas, definitely one of the best I have eaten. To be frank I have eaten Dosa with eggplant and I thought that was an interesting combination.
We ordered food from them last night and I must say the food was spicy, gingery and garlicky. The flavours werent balanced. The spice was overpowering the dish. The dishes we ordered where Bharta, Palak Paneer, Momos, plain & garlic naan and original Lassi.
Palak paneer and the Lassi where my favourite. If you are looking for authentic lassi this is where you should get it from. The naans where really big compared to the usual ones, pretty generous for the price they charge.

Eggplant &pea, Mango lassi, Garlic NaN, Chicken masala are good. The salad we ordered is too spicy, the flavour of onion was too strong, and if it could have a little bit lemon flavour, would be better.

  • Ashy

Went here on a Saturday night with Vinh and it was surpassingly quiet. There were only two other couples in the restaurant but the food was great. The stand out dish was the butter chicken honestly the best I have ever had and the chicken Tikka was also really tasty. They also make great cocktails as well I would definitely go back 🙂
