Bit of a mixed bag. Place itself it traditional old style pub (with a dining room) that’s warm and cosy on winter’s day/night. But there’s also two outdoor terraces – one mostly covered (warmed by gas heaters) with pool table and one open to the elements (also warmed by gas heaters and the place for smokers). It’s big, it’s boisterous, it’s fun – and lots of live music.

Food? Well – Sunday roast is huge at $22 but whilst plenty of meat and different vegetables, all a bit bland in flavour and hardly the piping hot roast potatoes and warm gravy. All a bit tepid and congealed. Chicken parma on the other hand with fat cut chips better value if not particularly subtle, and fish burger on brioche tasty but why serve with the skinny chips?

Will probably return when fancy a pub meal – apparently steak nights are excellent value.

Very cute little back yard for summer nights. We ordered one of each of the small plates on the menu . They were all good and nice for pub food, the croquettes and the pork sausages were very nice.
