Stumbled across this gem on a hot Friday night. Ordered the warm chicken salad and an ice cold pint of beer.
Service was excellent, staff friendly and attentive but not intrusive.
Chicken was super tender and tasty. Salad great size with sun dried tomatoes, red onions, olives, avocado, rocket, lettuce and a well balanced sauce.
Highly recommend, great value for money
I like the concept and the food and service was certainly ok , but I think this place will struggle in a fairly competitive location. I wish them luck. No complaints ….give them som support.
We got these guys on what I assume was a bad day. TL;DR food took ages and they accidentally set my boyfriend on fire.
We ordered food and waited. 30mins AFTER we ordered they came out to say my boyfriends order was no longer available. We reordered. After a further half hour, the food came out, however the waiter tripped and a flaming piece of skewer landed in my boyfriends lap, along with several oily pieces of vegetables. Before he got too set on fire, he brushed it away where the flaming piece of skewer sailed over the head of a toddler narrowly missing her, where it was then extinguished by another quick thinking diner. My food arrived, with different ingredients to what was listed in the menu, including something Im very allergic to.
We relocated at that point, forgoing any further opportunities for weird stories to tell our friends.
Has a large outdoor seating area in prime position in fitzroy – great for people watching. Nice indoor part too. The skewers are fabulous! They come out in a sizzling tower. The claypot and meatballs are very good too. The staff look after you well. Great place to eat or linger over a coffee with something to read. I’d give it 5 stars if the music was a bit better and quieter – but it might have just been a one 0ff.
We stumbled upon this place for brunch and I was so excited to see it had a vegan menu. I had a pressed juice and the unhealthy vegan breakfast with rice paper vegan bacon. It was amazing and the most unique vegan breakfast I’ve had. A welcome change from plain avo toast. The staff were super friendly.
Great spot with nice decor inside and out. Lovely owner. Great food! We have had the skewers multiple times and they not only look impressive but also taste amazing!
Once I did have a misunderstanding with reading the menu incorrectly regarding how battered the calamari was and when I realised it was heavily battered after receiving my meal they were happy to completely change my meal for me at no extra charge.
I have also just tried the chicken salad which was very fresh and yum!
Food was delicious, meat so tender and juicy. Good service, we were surprised by how good the food was considering its a moderately quiet restaurant.
