Went to the Royal Derby on a Sunday and they had a spit roast on, I had one of their pulled pork burgers from the spit that was cooking in the beer garden and it was Delicious.
The pub had great ambiance and a great crowd, it felt like a real locals pub. Will definitely be back again.
Nice spacious pub. Parma night was a bit disappointing. Big parma but very plain. The pizzas are much better. They’re small but very cheap.
Went here for cup day and super happy overall! The food is as good as it gets for pub food and super cheap! The mixed grill is delicious, same goes for the calamari and the fried chicken! Heaps of outdoor seating, with heaters too and a fair few TVs outdoors as well as a pool table. Staff were super nice and they have melbourne on tap which is even better! Would definitely go back for another sporting event or sunny Sunday, even though it’s a little dated it does exactly what you need/want!
We ate in the lovely dining room (it was quieter in there). Spacious and interesting photos to look at. Our entree was various fried items with dipping sauces. The haloumi had a hot spice on it which was different (in a good way). Mains I had the steak sandwich. And whilst the steak was a little tough, it was still delicious. The accompanying chips were really really good.
Huge portions! One portion can easily feed 3 small eaters. One of th better Parma’s ive had in Melbourne. Juicy meat, generous napoli, ham and cheese covering. Crispy chips and yummy salad.
Very prompt and friendly service and extremely affordable (cheap to be honest) price tag, 15 for parma&pot!
Whats not to love.
Good local hotel with a great range of beers. Good atmosphere . The food here is good honest pub food . All the usual favourites . Staff are attentive and pleasant.
Simply best steak in Melbourne perfectly cook by chefs , no match in this price and great massive Parma …………….. Check it out people ………
