Lovely menu, the usual suspects and then some. Consistently delish coffee. Great atmosphere, the plants are very lovely to sit around and always friendly staff. I saw a large group that had booked say to the manager they just needed to add another 2 people, and while it was obviously gunna be a pain in the butt to facilitate on a busy Saturday morning and tables needed to be moved, they just took it in their stride . Its got a particularly lovely vibe on market day.
Yes I like to order three dishes between two. Yes I like variety. Yes I want a savoury and a sweet option. The fruit salad was prettily presented, everyone’s throwing flowers on breakfast these days (thanks Top Paddock) but it’s what inside that counts and my stomach didn’t much care for it. My eyes, however, were dying over the interiors. Dying. Suspended greenery and bright modern colours- I could actually have just sat there all day basking in the fit out. Luckily it was a metre from the Rose St markets so I eventually left the table for someone else to enjoy the decor. It’s an ideal spot for brunch before hitting up the markets, I adored my tomato and basil toast with two perfect poachies. Wouldn’t mind going back to check our the rooftop bar for some drinks. I’m sure upstairs is just as divinely decked up as the bottom floor
Wanted to try somewhere new on Saturday morning for brunch and this has turned into a new favourite! Was a beautiful day so we sat outside in the courtyard & watched the happenings of the Rose St Markets next door. Food was fast & fresh & the coffee was one of the best i have had in Melbourne. Staff were so so friendly and so helpful in recommendations! Definitely returning to try the rooftop area.
Definitely a new favourite cafe. Had brunch here for the first time this morning and loved it. Not only could we make a booking but the food was fabulous. I had the chilli scrambled eggs with spring onion and chorizo on multigrain. So delicious and had an incredibly generous amount of chorizo. Can’t wait to return asap!
Only a minute or so walk from Brunswick street lies a groovy cafe with stunning decor, beautiful atmosphere and even better coffee to match. The staff here are ALWAYS lovely, helpful and friendly. I enjoy popping into Young Bloods every time I visit Rose St Markets.
Went here for breaky and ordered the YB breakfast and the potato hash. Attentive staff and a lovely space. Good coffee and no extra charge for non-dairy milks.
The food was okay. The mushrooms on the YB breakfast were overcooked and lacked flavour. Pork belly with the hash was fried to heat it up, so became a little dry. Both meals lacked seasoning.
Young Bloods is a total winner. Great atmosphere and beautiful greenery hanging throughout. Great selection of tasty and generous meals. The roasted mushrooms are delicious. Dining room, courtyard and mezzanine are all lovely and staff very friendly and helpful.
Perfect location right next to the Rose Street Market. Parking can be a little tight on weekends.
