The most unreliable cafe Ive ever been to! Change their hours every week, great coffee one day, woeful the next, and visibly bored sometimes even rude staff. Hundreds of parents through this venue every week for their kids sport but most dont bother going here any more.
Eat here weekly the toasted sandwichs although most are basic are delicious, sit down meals also at a high level of quality. Only negative is that prices can be slightly high compared to other western suburb food places
I go semi-regularly as it is the only cafe in the immediate area. The food is actually ok and is the reason for getting a 2. The coffee is very inconsistent and overpriced for the quality. It varies between weak and watery or burnt. Only one of the workers knows what she is doing with coffee and can make something worthwhile. They really need a proper barista. Service is often slow and disorganised and bizarrely at its worst when quiet as the staff are far more interested in chatting to themselves.
Basically, this place knows it will always have a crowd due to its location and obvious fan connection through the Bulldogs, so sees little need to pick up its standards. It is completely outshone by it’s competitors around the area and I hope that another cafe opens up nearby to encourage Barkers to lift its game. It’s got everything it needs to be really good however completely let down by coffee and service.
I come in reasonably regularly because there’s nowhere else close by to get a coffee. Coffee here is fine, but occasionally hit or miss. Service mostly friendly (except for one staff member you need to watch out for), but it is unbelievable slow, they don’t seem to have worked out that it’s generally a good idea to get take away coffee orders out of the way first. Don’t go unless you’re stuck.
Went in this morning for a coffee. 2nd attempt and they were closed again!!!
Spoke to someone on the way out and he said they haven’t been open for the last 3 weeks.
If website is wrong update it! Not happy! Not sure if I will give them another chance.
Excellent cafe in Footscray West – great Allpress coffee, friendly staff and food is fantastic (Moroccan lamb salad was delish!). Come down on the right day and you’re sure to get a table next to a Doggies player too 🙂
