I had a noodle soup… my partner had a noodle dish mixed with spring rolls. Very bland and tasteless. The lady who runs it is very nice but unfortunately the food isnt great.
The star is the bun rieu and stir fried noodle with char siu. The stir fried noodle got the perfect char and smoky flavour in it. The char siu is so nice perfect seasoning.
This is my most favourite option for vegetarian restaurant
Calm, beautiful way to spend a public holiday lunch. Bitter Melon Soup and Broken Rice. Both excellent vegan reincarnations of 2 of my Viet favourites.
Their wonton soup is my all time favorite meal in the west. It’s so nourishing and great. Plus so cheap! Highly recommend to anyone – particularly vegetarians or vegans
Traditional family business ambience with good Vietnamese food. Curry vermicelli is something exotic and worth a try. Great place for a warm hearty lunch.
Tried the rice noodles with tofu and it was very fresh and tasty. Quick service (takeaway) will be back! Have tried many others in the area, some kill the food with MSG. Plenty on menu and friendly service.
Love supporting for a good cause.
Food: Having read the rave of no. 5, Bun Hue was on the spotlight. I cannot comprehend how the soup could be that flavoursome without meat. Perhaps, my lacked of knowledge could explain for that. It could do without mint but with a touch of lemon to add a zing. However, the fried gluten tasted of overused burnt oil. Bun Rieu was fresh and well-seasoned. Cha Gio was tiny (insufficient vegetables) and overcooked. Bo Bia was a nightmare. I won’t recommend it as others did. It lacked texture, tons of tiny fried gluten (?) and it became very chewy.
Drink: Chinese tea was a little diluted.
Service: okay. Sometimes, I wonder she understand what I was saying when there was a long pause.
