The all-you-can-eat hot pot train is definitely one of the most worthwhile hot pot places in Melbourne. You get your own stove top and mini hot pot that comes with some one-off seafood to flavour your choice of soup with (mine came with crab, prawn, muscle, and a scallop). The variety of food doesnt compare to some of the more expensive Chinese hot pot places but you still get a decent pick. Theres also some basic ice cream which is a small bonus.
The good thing about this place is that there wasnt a time limit (which a lot of all-you-can-eat places enforce) so you can take your time to enjoy the food. The only downsides are that the sauces could use some improvement and the atmosphere isnt the greatest. Service was very good however as the waitresses were friendly and helpful.
All you can eat hot pot at a delicious price!
Visited for Fathers Day for a special treat. The place was packed! You have the option to have bbq, family style hot pot or even the hot pot train .
We had the family style hot pot. Everyone gets their own mini pot with their choice of soup. A large range of hot pot items from seafood fo meats gets delivered and if you want more you can order.
Really great place for big eaters! Everything was super fresh. And dont forget to leave space for unlimited ice cream.
Came here with family since we heard of the famous hot pot wars between chain chain and viet hot pot. At $35 pp you get unlimited sliced beef, vegetables and dipping sauces with a complementary plate of seafood with ranging from one abalone, few prawns, mussels, scallops and crabs.
Appreciated the bright interior, vegetable bar and some what appropriate sauce bar but seafood was frozen they had squid and it tasted like complete rubber I had to spit it out. Crab tasted like they were in the freezer for months. Frozen seafood can taste better than this. Broth was mostly made out of chicken broth despite we ordered CRAB AND TOM YUM, although Tom yum did taste quite nice. booking there was useless they didnt even right down my name. I know people are doing to say what do you expect from $35 all you can eat but I can assure you with $35 you can get your self full with a much more delicious meal somewhere else. They bought out too much food and it felt like a total waste since we couldnt finish it, mostly processed food were left untouched since they bought it out voluntarily and it didnt look appetising at all. Not only did it didnt taste as good as expected but it would leave such a big foot print on our earth seeing how much food that was wasted not only on our table but others as well.
I really regret picking our own table, going in the train is much more convenient since you can control the proportions since the plates on the train are relatively small. But on the tables they bring out too much stuff and it turns out you cant eat it all.
$35 Pp All you can eat
Food: All you can eat hotpot ($35)
Review:
Better options and more selections than chain chain hotpot – especially when you get the opportunity to make a stupidly ridiculous overflowing matcha/vanilla icecream from the dessert table.
With a generous salad/noodle bar, you don’t have to wait for the small portions to come around. Their sauce selection is a lot more generous and appropriate as well. Shout out to their Tom Yum soup base – classic and delicious.
I look forward to coming back!
Came a 6pm on a Friday night and didn’t need to book to get 3 seats at the hot pot chain.
Awesome value with the all-you-can-eat option (around $35pp), plus the plate of seafood with abalone is sure to please the Asian oldies.
Quite a large range of individual soup bases available, but I prefer to go with a simple stock, as it will become flavoured with the things you cook anyway.
The sushi train belt is also a bit of fun, as you can pick and choose whatever you like, from the large variety of hotpot ingredients.
The venue is bright, clean and spacious, this is definitely one of the better sushi-train hotpot restaurants around!
Selection was good. We got there a little late so even though we couldnt pick what we wanted when we wanted the staff was more that hospitable to our requests. The downside to the place was the lack lustre soup bases, they lacked salt and seasoning and we didnt even have any spices to add in. And the desserts as well could of done with a little more freshness and variety. Food wide Id rate it a 3. Ive made it a 4 due to the service by one waiter.
I went there for a babys 1st month party on Sat night. It is generally good. I am happy about the quick food service and large food quantity. The veggie and noodle are fresh. The seafood is OK but not as fresh as I expected. I like the ice cream and background music there too. This place is suitable for big group party such as birthday. The atmosphere is noisy around and joyful. I will come back and recommend people this place.
