A little place in Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre. On a Saturday morning it’s packed with families & seniors! A nice little setup. Friendly staff, just need to get organised as they seem to be confused when it comes to the coffee orders. When it’s sit-in customers, its first-come first-serve! Our lattes came so late, as the customers (3 groups) that came later than us got their coffees first :/ good thing I was not in a hurry or I will be very very upset! Get your act together ladies! The food are ok for the price.
Little coffee place in the centre of a large passage way on level one of Forest Hill Chase (Ive never really understood the Chase bit). It looked short staffed even though the tables were only half full. There were only two people working and they were seriously run off their feet. There were dishes and crumbs on several tables. It looked to me like they were a person short. Either that or theyre masochists. We cleared a table ourselves because the staff were so busy. I was persuaded to try here despite apparent disorganisation. We formed two tables side by side to seat three but these were different heights which felt strange. (The lady next door had pumpkin soup and thought it was very nice. My loved one has the lovely habit of talking to everyone and elicited this key information while we were waiting for our coffees.) We liked the cutish crockery when the coffees arrived. My coffee was middling but Mum declared hers as lovely and thats probably all that matters in the whole equation. Intentions are good here. I think theyre still finding their way. I wouldnt discount a second try.
Went there because of groupon voucher. Its a bit annoying when you go there to claim your voucher and they tell you you can only have a few things in the menu, when the voucher didnt say so. The place was a bit busy on Sunday at about 1 pm. Some tables were empty but they were dirty – i think they are short of staff, only 2 staff and they were busy taking orders and preparing food that nobody was cleaning the tables. We had sandwiches and coffee and hot chocolate. The sandwiches are okay, a bit disappointing that the chicken in the sandwich are processed chicken. The coffee was just okay according to my husband. Hot chocolate was okay but too sweet to my liking. Overall it is nothing special, but not a bad place to sit and just chat.
Nice coffee and some good eats. Love their cakes. The staff is also nice and friendly. Like to grab a news paper from their rack to read along while having coffee and cake.
