This is at the loft in the forest hill chase shopping center.
Vietnam themed decor, clean spacious seating, prompt smiling professional service, food quality reasonable and reasonably priced. Chicken and prawn Spring rolls taste like spring rolls. Pho is reasonable. Fried rice is ok. Could be better. The sausage is definitely worth trying. The chicken corn soup is an appetite inducing starter. Use of fresh ingredients is obvious. Their wholly vegetarian/ vegan choice is limited and thats a surprise given other Vietnamese cuisine easily supports completely vegetarian dishes. They do not yet do the vegetarian spring roll for instance even though its on the menu. The vegetarian noodle soup is a complete waste. Overall, it is worth a visit if one is in the neighbourhood and clamoring for some Vietnamese cuisine.
Extremely slow service. As I’m working in the shopping centre and want to support a new restaurant. 1st time I came here in the 1st week the opening, it took almost half an hour for my beef pho. I thought they was so busy that’s why I don’t mind about it. 2nd time I come for take away the beef pho, sad story happen again which took me 45 mins and haven’t finished my order. the manager keep asking me waiting for few more minutes but I’ve seen they just took the take away box to start my order so I just cancelled it.
Such a nightmare service.
I rarely give a one star rating and sad to give one on news years day, but when I visited yesterday, I was really disappointed. On arrival, the restaurant attendant did not acknowledge us waiting until a kitchen hand pointed out.
My mother and I ordered a Chicken Ph and a Vegetarian Ph, and it’s probably the worst bowl of ph we’ve had. The chicken ph was bland and tasteless, there was three pieces of chicken breast and that’s it. As for my vegetarian ph, it came with two pieces of shiitake mushrooms, two pieces of mock meat, two pieces of tofu curd and two pieces of tofu puffs. There was no vegetables to be found. The only thing positive aspect is the fact that the broth was better than the chicken ph, but of course laden with MSG.
To make things worst, they were close to charging us for orange juice we never ordered.I understand they have just opened, so best to avoid for a couple of months until the sort out their teething issues.

As melbournians were spoiled by all the good Vietnamese restaurants, we were Pretty disappointed by their food. The chicken and the beef in our pho was over cooked and flavourless, the bean shoots came with the pho had lots brown spots on them. The rice dishes were slgithly more edible but the rice was so dry and hard. the pork chop and grilled chicken were bland. The service was slow and disorganised too. It was half empty and more then enough staffs on the floor but my chicken rice dish was sitting on the counter for five minutes and it came when most of my friends has finished, and the egg and pork chops on it were lukewarm. Won’t go back.
Saigon corner looked lovely but so many issues. Had to wait to be seated even though the restaurant was only half full, then we waited to be asked to order. ordered our meals one meal came out and i waited probably close to 20 minutes then i asked when my meal was going to arrive the lady said she would find out for me. She went away and i didn’t hear from her again until payment. another 20 minutes goes by my husband has finished his meal my meal arrives. It is not what i ordered. So hungry at this point that i take it anyway. Way too much MSG in the soup, chicken was way too chewy with gristle throughout. Husbands meal was delightful. service was appalling someone else at a different table also left waiting for their meal. When i mentioned i wasn’t happy they apologised but told me i came at a busy time and i had a new person serving. I stated restaurant was only half full. didn’t apologise to me until i complained. Didn’t explain what happened until payment. should have spoken to me as soon as issue was discovered and offered something while i waited.
