On the go with Mum at Forest Hill. Only time for a quick sit down in the food court. Mum wanted curry puffs and fried rice from Wongs. On the good side the curry puffs – one beef, one vegetable – very large and filling with quite a lot of curry. Taste was overall fairly average though. Same with the fried rice. Not sure where the gourmet cones in. Not a bad option for something speedy and filling. Id go as high as 3.2.
Surprisingly tasty store made noodles ! Impressive for a food court stall! The dumplings are good too. My go to stall for a quick noodle and dumpling fix.
Hm Impressive change of thinking. The Chinese here have finally realised that Forest Hill is a very Westernised area of Older people. Australians welcomed immigrants only for them to hire their own kind. Wongs Gourmet have hired a girl of European background, and a Caucasian Aussie guy, both of which greet people and take orders. However they will be tested in the weeks ahead to see if they were only employed to attract non Asians or if they were told by Centre Management to be less racist. I did notice none of the Asian staff talk to them, and it seems those two cant even talk to eachother or show that they love where they work. Or….maybe its work experience….Wongs dont have to pay them….
Anyway, average food. Nothing special that makes them different from all asian fast food outlets.
Meh.
Fresh and cheap food among all Forest Hill Chase food court. Their large plate ( which is quite filling ) cost just $11 and accept ETPOS. Honey chicken and pepper fish highly recommended
