Perfectly poached eggs and yummy crispy bacon! The meals were well presented and came out quickly. Coffee was great. Friendly staff and nice decor

Came for lunch with 3 others and ordered felafel but they had run out! The burger was ‘average’, the pasta was ‘poor’ and I had fish and chips which were obviously taken directly from the supermarket freezer and heated up, yuk! The milkshake was good and service quite friendly and quick but wouldn’t come here again.

The cafe has a nice feel to it, friendly staff, I enjoyed my coffee but I did ask for and extra shot. I had a smashed avocado & feta on toast, had scrambled eggs instead of poached. I should have skipped the eggs as they tasted like rubber, looked like they had been sitting in a pot already cooked and where barely warm . My husband had fruit toast which looked nice , lots of fruit. Prices were fairly pricey I thought for quality of the food.

Great food, great coffee, great service!
We stayed at Quest just upstairs and had breakfast here the whole time we were staying. Between the 5 of us we tried the big breakfast, mushrooms on toast, smashed avocado, chorizo omelette, smoked salmon omelette, breakfast muffin, milkshakes, coffee, chai tea and chai lattes. I couldn’t fault them on anything.

Visited olive & fern this morning as we were walking past and thought as we are new to the area we should support the locals rather than always going to Mornington. I don’t like to be negative so I will start with the positive. The smashed avo was nice. The eggs were poached well and the avo spread had good flavours. The staff came to apologise as they had a problem with the poaching and it was delayed. Although even with the delay we only waited 15 minutes. The cafe is clean and looks modern and the staff are friendly. But unfortunately that’s where the positive points end. The coffee was terrible. I love coffee and admit I’m picky but I actually couldn’t drink it at all which in Melbourne bad coffee is a deal breaker. The food was average and you could just make it yourself. And for the prices they charge it just wasn’t worth it. Our bill was $46 for two people. Which is on par with some incredible cafes in inner city suburbs. Unfortunately I won’t be returning.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and had breakfast here each morning. Incredibly friendly staff offering great service. The food was fantastic with a few slight variations on your regular breakfast meals. Would definitely recommend.
