Extremely disappointed is an understatement! My Dad and I came for dinner here on a Thursday, which is the free desert night. Dad ordered a rice dish, I ordered a noodle dish and we ordered the satay chicken skewers to share. Although the food came out promptly, that was the only pro of the whole experience. My meal was average, Dads was very bland. The satay skewers were $8 for literally 2 tiny pieces of chicken.
After eating our mains, I was then told that my dish didnt qualify for the free desert. I accepted this and Dad ordered himself a fried ice cream with a coffee. He finished his entire desert before his coffee even reached the table.
When paying, I asked if we could pay for what we had ordered. The lady told me no, you can only split down the middle. We both paid half and went home. I thought about the price of everything and realised… they charged us do Dads ice cream which was meant to be free and included!
I contacted the restaurant and they made up so many false things about our experience. They told us that the price was more expensive for dine in instead of take away because of the portion size… however the chicken skewers on take away are 4 for $5.60, and eat in it was 2 for $8…
They then said that the fried ice cream is a premium desert and not included, although we were never told that when ordering, it wasnt stated anywhere on the menu, and we werent told when paying. They just slipped it in. Then, they told me that I didnt communicate how I wanted the bill split well and that it was a miscommunication, however I couldnt have been anymore clear if I tried! Ive asked for a refund on the ice cream and they will not accept this, and are taking me in circles.
I am so extremely disappointed in this restaurant, and I have now learnt to check over the bill thoroughly because apparently its okay for restaurants to rip you off blind.
The quality of the food doesn’t compare to their pricing – between $25-35 per main?! I think they either need to drop their prices by at least $10 to match the poor quality of their food or have a complete overhaul of their menu. Maybe hire new chefs or educate them in how to cook? Also they would not honour the entertainment book voucher that we presented. Service was on the slow side and I wouldn’t recommend anyone go here. I’m not sure how anyone could give them a 5 star rating unless they were friends or family of the owners
Fast and attentive, some dishes are theatrical with sizzling hot plates and bright green wontons, The slices pork is delicious and the special fried rice always hits the spot. It is a ittle expensive, but worth it for good food and great service.
