I used to visit Red Fire frequently when I lived in Mornington. For my mums birthday I decided we would go back to Red Fire for lunch. Last time I went there would have been 2013 or 2014!

The waitress was lovely and very friendly! The venue itself was very quiet. The area of Karingal Hub seems a lot quieter than a few years ago.

I ordered the Flaming Saganaki because my mum has never tried saganaki before. I am glad I ordered this because it was the best thing we ate at Red Fire, and wow it was the first time I ate saganaki that was on fire that was definitely an experience.

They have changed the menu a lot since the last time Ive been there. I tried their roast vegetable pasta. It was ok. Sauce could have been spicier! Even though there were real chillies in the sauce it still wasnt spicy. My mum enjoyed her pasta.

Its not as great and as memorable as a few years ago but I still had a good time. Also the food came out quite quickly! I would come back for the saganaki!

wow what an absolutely awful night. Waited almost half an hour to see a menu or get drinks. Our drinks order was waiting at the bar long enough that the ice in the coke had melted. We received a bottle of water while our drinks were sitting at the bar waiting for staff to attend to them. Other patrons ordered after us and received their food before us. Complained and got no apology. Manager was thoughtless and very apathetic. Never going back or recommending this lousy place

Would go back. No seafood on the menu. I went to get the garlic prawns. They took it off the menu. The glasses were worn out and scratched. Really didn’t enjoy my meal.

Have to say the quality of the food has significantly improved since I last went to this establishment. I had the Greek lamb pizza and it was absolutely delicious and gigantic! So many considering sharing if you’re going to get the pizza. My partner had the burger and said it was also really good!

25 January 2017: My first time stepping into this lovely place ( I live 1 hr away). Ambience was stimulating. Service was good. And it happened to be a WEDNESDAY NIGHT SOECIAL: steak night. I love steak. So I ordered the 250 gm porterhouse. With chips. At only 20 bucks. Quality was as good as any bistro-style restaurant. I enjoyed my meal.

Had a meal here before a movie, and on the menu food looked great. Came out of the kitchen, looked great. Tasted it, not so great. The caesar salad was nice, but there was so much parmesan that it overpowered the rest of the salad, and the additional chicken was very dry. The porterhouse steak was overcooked (med-well instead of the requested med-rare) and smothered in garlic butter, which was very overpowering. The redeeming feature was our lovely chatty waitress, who was wonderful and very nice. I don’t think I would specifically recommend or come back again.

Red fire is a good place for a quick bite before a movie, a stop along the way but not appropriate for a destination. The food is okay and the service is just the same. I had a pleasant experience but would choose to spend my time and money elsewhere
