Eating at Rocotillos was like eating breakfast ordered at a middle of nowhere Motel.

The coffee was complete rubbish, didn’t even finish it. The food.. where do I begin.
Ordered the Smashed Avocado… It was THICK, white and soggy bread, spread with an 8th of a shitty avocado, topped with weird looking poached eggs with a Massive side of rocket that had a dressing on it!

Getting a menu staple like Smashed Avo this wrong is crazy!
My suggestion to Rocotillos is, go out to brunch at some nice Cafes and see how they present their food. And maybe take class on how to poach eggs.

Since being taken over by new owners Rocotillos is lacking in the menu and ambiance departments. Used to have delish food, lots of veggie and gf options, really flavoursome. Now looking more like a bakery/low-quality and cheap eat-out. It’s a great location and lots of potential. Needs to move towards more home-cooked and full-flavour cafe food and gain some more fun-factor. This is what will recruit the young and professional Frankstonites 🙂

The food quality and service at this place seem quite over rated to me. Had a bacon and egg roll which was pretty greasy and a berry smoothie that was clumpy. I think there is better coffee nearby too.

Now open Sundays, and the bacon and egg toasted sandwich, best around and for the big eaters or share.
Coffee is good and the staff always look after you so why gamble else where.

Modern cafe with a pleasing menu – nothing too fancy, just good honest food at realistic prices. I had a very tasty ham and cheese sandwich and my friend ordered the vegetarian frittata with side salad. Personal customer service within an accessible and child-friendly venue.

Came here for early Mother’s Day lunch, staff were super friendly and accommodating, interior was bright and spacious. Food was reasonably priced, I ordered a chai latte and the zucchini and corn fritters and my mother ordered the lunch special chicken and avocado club sandwich with potato. Food was freshly made yet still came out quickly. Potato bits were delicious and seasoned perfectly! Zucchini fritters were good, although I’ve had better, they were also a little cold unfortunately 🙁 but the eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce with spinach was great. Decent chai latte too! Was very happy with my experience here and would definitely return 🙂

Great food and friendly staff. One of the best in Frankston. I’ve had both lunch and brekky here numerous times and never been disappointed. Sit out the front and watch people walk by or find a table up the back for a quiet coffee.
