Called into this sweet little cafe down at Geelong recently. It really is a cafe of two halves the first being devoted to coffee, tea and sweet treats and toasted sandwiches while the second half was devoted to kitting/crochet and craft workshops and was full up with interesting home made items. A Good Place to Start is perfectly positioned on the walk from Geelong to the South Geelong railway station and have both coffee and cookie sandwich loyalty cards for their regulars.
I enjoyed a latte made with locally roasted Origin coffee, while KD had the same with lactose free milk. We both shared a butterbing cookies and cream and a little bertha ginger person, although I must note KD took a little to much of this to be considered a 50/50 share (just saying). It was a perfect mid morning pick me up after the drive down from Melbourne.
There is limited seating inside the food area of the cafe but from my time there, there seemed to be a regular takeaway coffee following.
