Overcooked steak served with only rocket leaves yet still priced high. Posh chips- were small and nothing special yet cost $9. Waiters were polite and informative

This was soooooo slow. Drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive and had to go and find a waiter to ask if we could order them in the beginning. There was a 55 minute wait between entree and main and then they wafted out with massive wait times between us all getting our meals. Would I return? No. Would I recommend? No. Well maybe recommend if I didn’t like the person.

We had a group dinner here on a Saturday night as we are staying at the Motel overlooking the sea.

To be fair I want to point out that the management perhaps should have staggered guests orders half hour apart.

From the start we ordered drinks and the Pinot had 3 prices $11, $17, and a bottle for $50. The measure between small and large was the words on the glass Black Salt written one word on top of the other. I’ve never ever paid $17 for s ‘normal’ size glass of Pinot!!!!

We waited until our table of 10 arrived before ordering. 5 of 10 ordered entrees and they arrived at all different times.

The people who ordered mains only had to wait over 90 minutes because of several mistakes from the kitchen. The kitchen got it completely wrong. They sent small instead of large size and two entrees of whitebait arrived on our table meant for another. Then a waiter came to our table with an order of mushrooms meant for another table. Chaos!

After all if this I asked if there was some bread we could have Whist we waited the 90 minutes! No! Only garlic bread from the menu!!!!
Finally our mains arrived (well almost) all but one lady’s and that arrived when everyone else finished.

I have to say I eat out 2 nights per week on average and the pork knuckle was the worst item I have ever tried. I couldn’t eat it! It was huge and It was flavourless!!!!
The saukraut was simply red cabbage that had been slightly sauted.

The others reported their food as follows:
    Beef Stoganoff – very ordinary
    Atlantic salmon – very ordinary
Anti pasta platter – adequate with plenty of meat.
Calimari – strange Combo of chorizo and Calimari

Some of those who were prepared to sit on ordered desert – following the inedible pork knuckle having to be covered with my napkin I left. The pavlova looked very nice .

I must say the wait staff were the ones that copped the flack for the poor kitchen service! They were apologetic.
This kitchen has lots of issues to work on!

I’m dreading the breakfast as this is part of the hotel.

Food was tasteful, but way too expensive. The menu was minimal. They were extremely busy and the service was ordinary. We had to ask for a wine list which took a good ten minutes to be delivered after we were seated, and one meal (steak) came out after the rest of the table had nearly finished their meals. Won’t be going back

Great food. I had the scallops for entree. Cooked perfectly with great pure and thin bacon pieces. Moroccan chicken breast for main. Moist and succulent with crispy skin. Good sized meal also with great accompaniments. Staff were genuine and attentive. Would definitely revisit to try some great variety on the menu.

Went there on recommendation but was unfortunately dissaponted. One dish out of three courses was outstanding (duck) & the rest were hit & miss. One main (boar) could not even be finished. Wine list is good, venue is nice & our waiter was delightful but it was very expensive for what it was and we wont be going back for dinner anytime soon. First major dissapointment in our Geelong foodies adventure.

Nearly perfect. I have only been here once and it was a great breaky. Aussie breakfast was more than enough to satisfy my hunger. Coffee was a little average which was disappointing. If the coffee improved this would have been perfect. Still very good cafe.
