The Scott burger (basically their burger with the lot) is friggin unbelievable! Straightforward menu using quality products and really nailing the good stuff. Everyone’s lovely. Chips delish. I reckon best FnCs in G at the moment.
I’m very fussy with my chips and these where cooked to perfection… Though they did forget the chicken salt we asked for. Had it with some curry down at the beach! Will be coming back soon to try more of your menu 🙂

Great Burgers! Must try these burgers, they are the best i have had in a long time. I have been there three times now and always get great service and great food. My partner had the tacos and they were delicious. Will be back to try more!
Absolutely amazing fish and chips. Didn’t feel that heavy feeling afterwards as every thing I had was so fresh and delicious…the fish, the chips and the awesome salads!! I’ve never had salads like these from any fish and chip shop! Service is great and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Bringing fresh quality take out back!. Stumbled into Catch on Yarra today assuming I was walking into your average fish and chipper, but this is not your average fish and chip shop, this is a little restaurant! There’s a bright but cosy dining area; allowing you to either dine in or take away. The staff were extra friendly, and the food is outstanding.
Today I tried one of their Angus Beef Burgers with some chips. Firstly, I was taken aback at how fresh everything was. The veg was crunchy and even the bun wasn’t overlooked; using fresh organic sourdough. There isn’t much that ruins a burger more than one of the soggy preservative laden sponges they call a bun. The homemade patty was juicy and was seasoned very well. The prices seem fair as well, with similar prices to other quality burger joints. Although Melbourne and Geelong has plenty of good burger places, these are great competition.
The chips were brilliantly crunchy and I’m quite sure that they’re also prepared instead of bought pre-made. There were no unique seasonings; but it felt like the chips had enough flavour that they didn’t need any more than salt. They do provide vinegar though, which is nice.
The only criticisms I have is that they were fresh out of vegie burgers, and it would have been nice to have a bit less salt on the chips (given they had a salt grinder on the table anyway)
Whoever runs this place must definitely be passionate about their food. It just makes me wish other food places would simply taste what they’re serving to their customers! Give it a try, and if you know what’s good for you; you’ll provably want to go back. 🙂
