Hi! Eastern Spice has become a favorite for us over the last 12 months.
It represents good Indian food reasonably priced, mid range. We have eaten at other Indian places in Geelong and Eastern Spice and their Dhal with a roti is my absolute 10/10 dish.
There are many menu items that are a little different but are very enjoyable, for example;
Chili cauliflower,
Tandoori prawns,
Lamb chops,
Cheese and chili bread, and
Butter Chicken
We have eaten here as a table of two and up to eight, service can be a tad slow at peak times but the staff are knowledgeable and deliver what they can as quick as they can and they are polite.
Good menu with plenty of options, not all meals are hot (spice) and of course they do great vegetarian dishes.
Good drinks list, BYO wine.
At the end of the night the chef comes and asks if your meal was to our liking, we always enjoy a chat and exchange notes. The chef is in touch with the customers and I like that.
A big plus for us is eating in the restaurant and not needing to shower after and wash your clothes because of the smell from your meal, if you have eaten at other Indian restaurants you may have experienced this.
Highly recommend, we will continue to visit and enjoy.
Ill be honest and start with saying that Ive never been a fan of Indian restaurant food. However our visit to Eastern Spice turned this on its head. From the moment we walked in, I knew it wasnt your typical local Indian. Clean, crisp decor, a relaxing atmosphere and attentive wait staff made for a great start. The menu also wasnt typical – rather, it featured some very interesting and creative dishes. And most pleasingly, when the dishes came out they were plated in an aesthetically appealing fashion, and every dish had its own unique flavour and colour, and generous in size.
