Massive disappointment tonight, we’ve been here a few times and the food was amazing! The menu, chefs and quality of the food has definitely changed. I received a chicken and leek pie which was clearly microwaved, top was soggy and the filling was hot as hell with rotten carrots which clearly weren’t roasted just shoved in hot water. My partner got the scotch fillet steak which was basically all gristle.
The garlic bread was nice though and the wait staff are amazing.
Seriously microwaved food in a restaurant is a crime, make it fresh and ready to order!

Twosheds Geelong edition is taking off with another pub around the corner from the Commo, which we frequented on the Friday of the recent long weekend. The Elephant & Castle is a fantastic local pub near central Geelong. Its owned by the out there former Mohawked mayor of Geelong. Eccentricity is the order of the day. The pub is a happening place adorned with the beautiful photo collection of the mohawked ex mayor. Great shots, with an emphasis on his favourite subject, Princess Diana. The food is standard pub grub, very well done. Think eggplant parmigiana and beer battered fish and chips. Friendly service and a good wine list too it off. Dixieland jazz bands on a Sunday add to the attraction. Lovely beer garden out the back for functions or general weekend chill outs is a bonus. Fantastic venue. Its a 3.8 for me.
