    Not your average pizza joint.
The Italian ambience hits you like a cold beer on a Friday night. Theres a hint of authenticity about the restaurant that isnt subtle, but also doesnt scream were trying to be Italy. A healthy balance there.
The pizza is baked by a friendly local who has a heart of gold and takes great pride in his pizza-making abilities. The combination of the staff and atmosphere proved to be a nice little outing for the night.
Now the food…. The pizza crust has a delicate fluffy ness to it and is baked to perfection. Crisp of the outside and perfection on the inside. The pizza choices dont include the good ol meat lovers, Aussie or the highly debated Hawaiian (pineapple does NOT go on pizza), but what you get is a proper Italian menu with minimal, but quality, toppings. Its hard for me to switch from a fully loaded butchers delight from, pizzas with attitude, to a classy, tender loving cared, baked pizza. However, after tasting first class, I dont think Ill be returning to economy seating, so to speak.
Unfortunately the only downside was that the fridge temperature setting was a bit high (warm beers) but thats a simple fix.
All in all, I recommend trying a pizza….or 12… and to try something different than the local dominoes.
This venue would be perfect for date night meals + village cinemas. Lobo…?

Been to Pizzeria Adamo many times with family and friends. Always great service and fantastic food with fresh ingredients. I celebrated my birthday here in July and couldn’t fault Adam and his staff. Recently went to a Italian Night held each month and the added value of his family playing italian music while devouring in the Nutella dessert pizza is my night sorted! The vibe and atmosphere is something that you don’t find much these days. Highly recommend go checking it out!

There’s nothing like a good woodfire pizza. We enjoyed a zucca pizza during our stay, and chased it with a non-alcoholic affogato. Both were top notch. The staff were attentive and helpful too. Strongly recommend.

I’ve been to Pizzeria Adamo quite a few times, and I have always left happy and satisfied for two reasons: I usually bring my friends and they are all pleased after the experience and I get my throwback memory of Italian pizza that I would have in Italy back on my mind.

There are two key elements in judging a pizza: the crust and the toppings. Most of the people identify the Italian typical style with the Napolitean one: fluffy, not too thin crust, well-raised border which sometimes is stuffed with cheese as ricotta, quite thin in the middle. This is just one style as in some other parts of Italy you may find very different crusts. This one served at pizzeria Adamo reminds of the classic Napolitean but doesn’t go that far with the dough and its border. Nevertheless, the crust is perfectly on point and lives up to the expectations for what you want to find in an Italian restaurant. Topping: generous, with that right amount of sausage, ham or veggies that you are willing to pay for. Service informal yet impeccable, nice selection of italian beers (go for Menabrea absolutely) and wine, also the housemade tiramisu and nutella pizza worth a try. If you go there on Wednesday night you get a pizza for $15, which is a bargain considering what you are after.

You won’t be disappointed, also shout out to Adamo, the owner, for making this place such a shiny spot of Italy here down under.

I don’t like rating places with 5 stars as perfection does not exist, so I would just say that I highly recommend this place for pizza.

Looking for authentic italian style pizza, this is the place. Awesome food and friendly service. Dont forget to leave room for dessert, amazing ! Will be back for sure.

The most authentic italian-style pizzeria in Geelong. Up there with some of Melbourne’s good pizza places. Excellent italian style woodfire pizza, good coffee and dessert. Will be back soon for sure!
