Came here with some friends after spending some time at Cunningham Pier. I had ordered the Chicken Karrare Rice Bowl. It was mildly spicy but really tasted good. Service was good as well.
Had a spicy chicken teriyaki, spicy chicken karaage, and teriyaki chicken with rice, ordered large size for all of it. Nothing extraordinary about the taste, but I noticed their large size meal slightly smaller compared to other RWS branch I went.
Service was good and quick.
The water used for poaching the egg was not in the temperature hence why the egg looked like it was semi hard boiled. Everything else was average. Food was good for its price.
Mixed feelings here. I got spicy pork karaage and really enjoyed it – fresh and tasty, and the spicy mayo is delicious. Mum got the dry ramen and found it to be really stingy – only a couple of small pieces of chicken and very few noodles. If we go here again we’ll stick to large bowls.
Called in to the mall for a quick snack on our way to the Great Ocean Road drive. Husband seemed to enjoy his choices here, a tofu steak, seafood salad and a crab claw. I wasn’t so impressed, my food was cold by the time I returned with coffee from one of the cafes. The dumpling was unimpressive and the vege fritter, being cold tasted mostly of the oil it had been cooked in. We also got a couple of sweet treats, one was made from bean paste, the other was based on tiramisu and was quite good once it had defrosted.
Came here for the first time recently and got the chicken katsu curry udon as I figured it’s hard to mess that up! It was delicious and warming, perfect for a cold day. My friend got a spicy chicken rice dish and my dad said he wants to go back for more! Cheap, but reliable, good food.
It is nice to see that Rice Workshop has made its way to Geelong, and the quality for this rice bowl bar made the trip intact too. Quick but delicious rice dishes through to Udon noodle bowls, all promptly made with fresh ingredients. The kimchi beef rice bowl is delicious, and do try their green tea ice cream!
