To be honest, I wasnt really expecting much at all walking into Mr Tucci. The starkness. The now slightly done, trending white walls and iron, little bit of timber and some hanging plants esque experience. Sicilian Sea Salt and almond milk served from a clean, metro honey bun with a smile like toothpaste and Nivea. But oh how I was so very wrong. The first bite of my breakfast, the first sip of my coffee, is every reason I love hospitality. Its a cold day, the music is gentle and exciting. Which turns out, helped each bite melt kinder. The first slide of food onto my fork held the perfect dispersion of salty vinegary corned beef, beetroot sauerkraut, crunchy gorgeous sourdough, perfectly popped and oozing poached egg and gorgeous angelic buttery holladaise. The texture, the flavours and the dissolving of my cold dangerous heart, all at the same time? With mother natures bare canvas trees through these high windows …..? Im totally impressed, and so thankful people actually can, give a hot shit about the mercy of our tastebuds. The coffee is outstanding aswel. Id like to say Id be back, but I wont. So do me a favour and try this Corned Beef Benedict for yourself, in my honour x

I still give 3.5. their location is perfect , not a big cafe , but lot of windows and sun light make us feel warm in the cafe.

Food is amazing ! I ate baked egg , we all know this is a simple dish , deep fired cheese ball are delicious. However coffee bean only on average, I feel like the coffee bean is not strong enough and feel like a bit sour.

Went for brunch last Saturday at 10.30am & was pleased to be seated straight away. Beautiful space & light filled. My friend & I had the tasting plate each. Great way to try several dishes and they were good sizes. Wasn’t sure about the waffles (bit dry) but rest was delicious. Coffee was good. Service very pleasant.

Pretty busy and full seated when I went there for brunch. I had a potato & black bean rosti, almond croissant and a soy cappuccino. So far the best brunch I had lately, the potato & black bean rosti is amazing, served with a perfect cook of poached eggs. They heated up the almond croissant before they served it which made it even better, great coffee and very friendly staff. Looking forward for my next visit for sure.

If youve been to Son of Tucci then you wont be disappointed with their new cafe. The light filled cafe was buzzing when we arrived and the food was packed full of flavour. Service is quick even though it was busy and its a welcome change to pay for a meal under $20 with generous portions. Highly recommend this cafe.

Its ok, nothing special. Had the waffles, the fruit was nice but the waffles were dry. Service was slack and it was not busy. Would probably not go again which is a shame as it is around the corner from me.

Mr Tucci, like its San- and Son-of cousins offers fresh takes on some classic brunch staples. Having tried a lot of the menu already from (repeat) visits to Santucci’s and Son-of-Tucci, my partner and I opted for the Carbonara Linguini from the specials menu and a Schnitzel Sandwich. The Schnitzel was oh-so-succulent, using thigh cuts in place of breast. This small change drastically improves the quality of a menu item that can sometimes make your jaw put in a really tough shift, especially when paired with thick, crusty bread. I can happily say that this was not the case here as I found myself savouring each bite. Add a few dollops of creamy garlic aioli and melted Monterrey Jack and you have a winner. The Carbonara also hits the spot; the inclusion of a healthy amount of thicker chunks of bacon was welcome and made a simple dish special. Although we found ourselves waiting longer than we’d like to get served, the beautiful window panels that span the height of the ceiling gives you something to look at. There is no shortage of natural light, providing vibrance to an already aesthetically pleasing cafe.
