Loved the old-fashioned Fish & Chips. Owner was very passionate about the quality and freshness of the fish.
The chips taste like ‘hand-cut’ chips and not the processed frozen lot (I’ll ask them next time – processed potatoes get stuck in my throat and these didn’t). must try the fish souvlaki next time.

Went here for the first time today in ages and it’s as good as ever! The lovely owner remembered me from years ago! Best fish and chips in Melbourne!!

You can’t go past an old school fish and chip shop like this one! The burgers are amazing, just with enough grease to call it flavour! Chips, nuggets and Fish are all tasty as well. Can’t go wrong – such a beautiful reminder of the past.

Classic, old school fish and chipper. This is our local fish & chip shop, well more accurately it’s our preferred out of the three near-by. We’d go there more but it’s always so busy – on the weekends they do a roaring trade. The popularity comes from the never fail, good quality food. Don’t expect modern menu choices of grilled this and filleted that. Just expect good old flake with a potato cake, dimmy and a pile of chips like it used to be.

Just bought nearly $40 of fish and chips from this place. Shark and whiting with medium chips. Soggy and mostly flavourless with lemon wedges containing mostly pith and no flesh. Worst of all, when I went to pay with a MasterCard, I was told they would add a $0.50 premium – I think this a rip off given our cashless economy. When I discussed this with the owner I received a very aggressive response. I won’t be coming back.

Chips did not drained well and fish is greasy as well. The hamburgers are nice with fresh ingredients. However, the owner needs a serious lesson in customer service. So rude both on the phone and when my friend picked up the food.

Excellent Fish & Chips been going back for over 20 years very consistent with their product and service. Recommended to anyone in East Malvern who is yet to try it.
