Newly opened Korean BBQ joint away from the busy streets of Glen is definitely worth a try. We got the set menu for 4 people (note the price increased to $119 instead of $109), and got the pork belly, pork jowl and beef brisket.
The highlight of the experience was the fact that they cook everything in a mini oven filled with burning coal, to get that smoky BBQ flavour. The staff were attentive and cooked all the meats/vegies in front of you, the only downside was that they did not have a pull down ventilation system to suck away all the fumes, so don’t wear your favourite shirt.
In terms of food, the meat quality was quite good, and my favourite was the pork belly. The kimchi soup was also a standout, highly recommended.
For $30 per person this restaurant would be in my recommended list as it gives value for money with quality food.

Very funky designed restaurant. I like thats its away from the main Glenny strip. Kbbq is very different being cooked in a little box that they bring to the table. It is a little expensive, you dont get very much food in the package. So if youre starving, its best to order additional meats. We came on a warm humid day and they didnt have great ventilation so it got quite stuffy and smoky. Hope they can improve on that. The place isnt licensed yet, no BYO either. Overall an enjoyable experience

This new kbbq place in Glen Waverley is definitely a place to try. The service was nice and friendly and they cook all the meat for you. We ordered the 1988 set for two people with spicy pork and kimchi stew. We also ordered bulgogi with beef tartare meat which we rarely see in most Korean restaurants, but it was actually delicious. The meats were grilled on an interesting portable bbq with burning coals, where meat was grilled on top but skewers were also cooked on the side. Great Korean BBQ experience for a reasonable price, we only paid $77 for the two of us.

Authentic korean restaurant. Ordered their set dinner, generous portion size, great value. Also ordered their fried chicken and beef tartare, both are very delicious. However, the Charcoal BBQ on the table doesnt last long, it takes a while to cook the meat especially the pork dishes. And after 4 dishes, the owner had offer us to cook the last dish of meat inside kitchen (just stir fry) instead of cooking on the table as the charcoal are soon running out. Other than that, meat are very well prepared and marinated. Staffs were very attentive. Hope they will improve that BBQ thing on table to last longer.

Discovered this little fresh hidden Korean BBQ restaurant that just opened 2 weeks ago. Honestly, their BBQ box (like a musical box) is magical. Not only cool-looking but the meat cooked from it are just so tender and melt in your mouth, and no smoke!!! Hence no smelly clothes or hair which is always a plus for me.
We order the BBQ 1988 premium set for 4 and it was just perfect for the 4 of us. The service was a bit slow since they were busy but the food definitely made up for it. They did apologise, we know they are a new restaurant so its understandable.
Cant wait to go back for more food and some soju!

This Korean bbq has soft launched at Glen Waverley so had a limited menu. Located on the corner, this kbbq is well designed, laid out and staff are friendly. Look forward to exceptional service. Staff alternate in cooking the meats and meats are cooked in a unique oven with charcoal which is the first I’ve seen in Melbourne.

Ordered the premium set which came with angus scotch fillet and wagyu cheek flap + 3 meat choices in which we ordered beef deckle, spicy pork belly, pork belly. All meats are tender and well cooked.

    Dumplings and japchae. Amazing!

Corn cheese is made just right.

Kimchi soup + 2 kinds of salad were quite filling and large sized

The 5 dipping sauces all had their own unique flavour.
