This chinese restaurant is split into two with one side mainly for hotpot and the other for normal food.
We ordered the xiao long baos which were okay but meat wasn’t tender.
Chicken and prawn dumpling skin was too thick and doughty, the meat was tough.
No sauces were on table and soy sauce came with the meal so no flexibility.
Salt and pepper calamari took a while to come out and although looked appetising was soggy and watery inside with the shallots no longer crispy.
First glance of the menu, it was all labeled with red pepper chili. Yet having a couple taste of the dishes, it was not as hot as expected. The dishes are well made with chili, and multiple spices to give the tastes other than hot, means the dish is actually performing really well with only a tiny little bit of hotness.
They have a lot of indoor seating, and offer all you can eat hot pot. But also have many other dishes. We went with a large group of people and we were seated pretty quickly on a busy Saturday night. I had the vegetarian rice noodle stir fry which was tasty but very oily and the serving size was quite large. We also shared the prawn and chicken dumplings which were really juicy and had heaps of flavour.
