We had spicy soup base and mild soup base hot pot. The thin slice meat was very fatty but there are a lot of interest ingredients are there.
The service was bit slow.
Love their xiao long bao. Each bao was delicate and juicy with a good amount of soup within the pouch. Their braised pork belly and ribs was tasty. I would love to try their hotpot sometime.
Hey, pretty good Hot Pot!
Lots of space too. Our party of 8 were seated in one of the booths and we were able order drinks right away.
We took the combo broth. The chili side of the boiler is not to be trifled with. It was seriously hot with close to the Chinese national tonnage of Szechuan pepper corns in that broth. Very good though, and quite different to some other places that just have birdseye chilli’s floating in the stock.
Pretty good variety of ingredients, and very fresh too.
Negatives.. The floor is a bit greasy. Hard to keep clean with the need for everyone to get up and get their own ingredients but I felt for a Tuesday night it still needs a bit of attention in that area. Chopsticks are really rough and dirty. A small investment needs to be made there.
Great place to come if they can fix those issues and you have a party of 4 or more to have a bit of foodie fun!
Have the hot pot buffet and comparing to other hot pot buffet. We can choose the sauce and meet and vegetables ourselves and we can decided how much we want. So that we don’t need to wait the waiter to serve.
The serves is good the waiter will come and ask whether we want refill our soup.
The qualities of food is nice
Came here for the $30 pp hot pot buffet for parents anniversary. Usually pretty hard to please my parents with food as they’re usually picky with food but they absolutely loved the variety of food available at Chong Qing, especially at its price. (Probs more worth than China Buffet). Service was decent and the ambient is normal in a fairly busy restaurant. Definitely give this place a try if you crave hot pot buffet style but don’t want to put a hole in your wallet.
Food – the food is good and cheap 30$ for a person . It’s basically a buffet or you can choose from a menu . There food is good and would recommend and would come again
Customer service – There staff are really nice and there to help you if you need something
For a local hot pot buffet, not bad but verse the restaurants in the city, is way below standard. Still, we come back here and we’re too lazy to head to the city for hot pot.
Enough seafood and meat to go around, they should add 1-2 more noodles rather then just having instant noodles in the buffet section.
