I don’t know why there are lots of negative reviews on this restaurant. I’ve been here a few times alone for a quick meal and also with a group of friends for dinner and I’ve always enjoyed the food. I think their savoury dishes is one of the most tasty Thai food in Glen Waverley. I love their curries and crispy pork belly!
My mango sago was terribly disappointing. Crushed ice with a hint of sago and coconut milk would be a better description. The mango soft serve was delicious, creamy and flavoursome.
Dined last night for dinner with a friend. Can’t book tables on a Thursday night but as we met early at 6pm we easily got a table. We shared the fish cakes & chicken satay for entree, followed by red curry with prawns & coconut rice & roti for main. Food was quick & tasty & good value. I ordered the sago with mango for dessert which was somewhat good but I didn’t enjoy the giant iceberg they served it with. Enjoyed the sago & pieces of mango & coconut but not the chunks of crushed ice served with it. Service friendly.
Came here to try their Thai milk tea crepe and soft serve. I wasnt a fan of the soft serve. It had a strong honey taste instead of Thai milk tea. The crepe cake was nice though.
Love the vegetarian/ vegan options at D’Elephant Thai in Glen Waverley.
The mains ordered were average, decently priced and filling. The service was quick and staff were friendly.
A delicious Thai restaurant that does all the classics very well the pork belly bites were so crispy and delicious~defs my favourite dish- I enjoyed the red curry But I just wish the red curry was spicier ~ I think I put a bit too much lemon on the pad Thai as it was slightly sour but otherwise tasty~ I liked the Thai milk tea drink and mango drink however the blue milk latte was not very enjoyable as I could only taste milk
D’Elephant is a place where hoards of wild mammals gather; hungry people that is. With an authentic flavour, modern plating and ambiance with friendly staff lays a comfortable setting. Their dishes has a great depth of flavours; a spark of salt, a kick off chili and a spark of citrus. D’Elephant is a pleasant establishment for casual diners.
