MJ’s Burger Bar is more traditional American Burger Diner style and with a great range of burgers available, it’s hard to decide between beef or fried chicken.
Downside is that it’s outdoor sidewalk seating, but on the plus side it’s under heaters and enclosed.
Soft brioche buns are buttered and toasted on the flat grill.
The patties are grilled medium-well with a nice crust, and the American cheese is perfectly melted over.
*The Tennessee Truffle was juicy with slow cooked onions, but I didn’t get any aroma or taste of truffle in the mayo.
*The Southern has a light hit of spiciness from the jalepenos and the soft-fried bacon provides a good hit of saltiness to each bite. With any of the burgers, be prepared for a messy, juicy meal.
*Chips were deliciously crispy and seasoned well with salt, herbs, a bit of sugar and probably crack. Really addictive.
*Onions Rings were also crispy, but the batter soaked up a lot of oil, which releases into your mouth when you eat them. Almost makes you regret your meal.
*Hot jam donuts are covered in a little too much sugar but that can easily be rectified with a few taps. I prefer a tad more jam, but I’m a jam freak. They’re really good though.

Being a burger outlet it felt like a take away place that accommodated those who wanted to sit and eat – burgers served on plastic plates. Seating is at tables next to road.
Great burgers, but not eat in cafe style if that is what you are after.

The burgers here are very traditional and heros the ingredients , the sizes here are very generous and I especially loved how the burgers were not greasy and did not leave me feeling I was going to have a heart attack
Ordered the Southern Cali. The bourbon bacon jam was the standout of the burger. Gave it a real depth of flavour. The deep fried chicken wasn’t crispy due to excessive oil. Chips were great though.
I always get the original cheeseburgers whenever I eat at a burger joint. I like to compare since the market is so highly saturated with burgers. The cheeseburger here was good. Everything was fresh, patty was juicy. Nothing to complain about
