The food here is hit and miss, some dishes are divine and others are bland. The menu is huge so it’s easy to make a poor selection. The absolute worst thing about this place is the layout and service. You are packed in like sardines. I love a share table but I loathe being so close to people that you can’t push your chair back without impacting everyone around you, being unable to eat without elbowing the person next to you and it being so noisy that if you have a group of over 2 people, it’s impossible to talk. Staff rush you through your meal and out the door as they clearly overbook this place day after day. It’s definitely not the place to go to catch up with friends, if you like the food, do yourself a favour and get takeaway.

If it was possible to give it a 0 rating I would. First time here and will be the last. Thought we would go to pinewood to try the Viet food there instead of driving to Springvale because we were tired from a long road trip, big mistake! Should have gone to Springy or eat Thai at Siam which I enjoy.

If you tend to eat Viet food in Springy or Footscray don’t bother coming here because you will most likely regret it. The menu is overpriced and the food doesn’t taste good.

I ordered the vermicelli noodles with lemongrass pork. When it came out, it looked nice but when I ate it, the noodles were cold, pork was oily and not much of a lemongrass taste. My bf ordered rice with cube beef (bo luc lac) and Vietnamese ice coffee. The beef was salty and it turns out the Vietnamese ice coffee was from a sachet and was very watery! What restaurants serves coffee from a sachet??? I don’t think it would go down with many Vietnamese ice coffee lovers that’s for sure.

Went here for lunch recently with friend. Had lunch menu pho, bun bo hue, chicken spring rolls, Vietnamese chicken prawn salad and Vietnamese iced coffee.

Food wise: pho was ok, sweeter than I’m used to. Bn bo hue was good only after I requested chilli sauce, which they were going to charge me $3 for! Lucky for me they ended up not doing it. Spring rolls were lacking any actual fillings. Prawn chicken salad was ok. Coffee was watery.

Service: waitress lacked English. She couldn’t understand my request to not have raw beef. Explained several times to no avail. She lacked customer service skills. That could be overlooked but if you can’t even speak basic English, that’s a problem.

Better off going 15 mins further to springvale for decent Vietnamese food.

Food was nothing great. Found the chicken pho tasteless which was sad. Food came out fast thought cuz they were trying to get rid of us fast as well since they were full. Sad though cuz they didn’t even have a high chair available or an extra chair where my child could sit. Not a child friendly place. Lacks staff though staff was friendly enough. Place is cramped which made it hard to manuever to get out of the restaurant. Lots of customers though, so this place will survive. Just not up to my low standards. Would not go again.

Terrible service, waitress were rude, table are small. The worse part is I actually made a compliant about their service and the reaction was like yeah we are busy, so what. Needless to say, not going back. Food on the other hand was average too.

A once excellent eatery has gone down badly in standard. Twice now in the last 2 months we have experienced poor service. Though half full, entrees ordered at 6.45 took 1/2 an hour for the 4th one to arrive, and by just past 8pm for our main meals to appear. It would have been faster to do a phone order and get them to deliver to our table! And then the waiter didn’t know what meal was being brought out. Water asked for never appeared. Have been there a number of times, but never again. By the Famished 4.
